Thanks for this deal! I have used Groupola before. This looks like a pretty good offer to me, not much you can get for under a tenner these days. Heat added x

Try this page: http://www.gobumpers.co.uk/index-6.html and click Book Now, then enter your postcode.

None of the dates are clickable for me so I guess it's not in my area.
#8
Any one actually ever used these before, if so are they any good?

Where did you find that? I went onto bumpers official site and they seeem to only operate down south?
#10
Bumper's website
Bumper's has it's southern UK base in Southampton and it's northern base in Huddersfield.
#11
Booked for the mrs. If they're crap just go with someone else after the first lesson(s). At the very least it'll serve as a bit of familiarisation.
#12
just bought this for my girlfriend, hope it works in Manchester... but deal does say:

It works for Stockport, but the only offer I could see was first hour free. Which isn't bad in itself, is it?
#14
 Booked for my eldest, and £5 cashback from TCB making it £1.25 for 3 lessons!!!! I hope they operate in Liverpool
#15
H&R added. I've just called the number, they cover both the Loughborough and London areas. Cheers!

Bear in mind that their standard lesson fee is £20p/h which is expensive for Manchester due to the amount of driving instructors. I only pay £14ph and most instructors near me charge between £14 and £18 at the most due to the competition.

Also, companies who offer "first hour free" kind of deals spend most of that first hour showing you the controls and their is no driving involved.

Best to do your research and choose an instructor based on recommendations than go with a so-called "cheap" deal.

Just my opinion

But if I decide to take only 3 lessons, they cant object that. Correct?

I thought the same thing. I'll go and get my 3 hour lesson, and if they try and sell me on more lessons before I even take the first one, I'll insist on trying them out first.

I can already drive anyway, I just want the practice before I take the test. This sounds like a good way to do that for me. I'm more worried about the Mrs.

Thanks for this.

Been thinking about learning to drive for a while, so I've booked this for my first test.

I booked for Manchester by the way, so the deal works up here.

Dont forget Topcashback, if you have an account with those lazy people. :p

From the website
"The offer is ONLY available to totally new drivers and can be bought for friends/family.
Offer is valid for 3 months only ie, until 30th September."

Shame as my daughter wants lessons for her birthday but it's only on 29th September so not much time to get the lessons in especially as she will be at college then
#23
Whats tcb mate for the cashback
#24
Thanks. Booked a lesson.. been driving an Automatic for 8 years... gonna try Manual driving :)
#25
Bummer... just read the T&C @ http://www.bumpersdrivertraining.com/

It says "The offer is ONLY available to totally new drivers and can be bought for friends/family."

I guess its £6.25 down the drain :( as I already have an automatic licence and was hoping to try out driving a Manual car...
#26
thanks op just bought one as a gift for gf and one for myself.
#27
I've bought this, will come in handy as just about to take my theory test so would have booked lessons anyways afterwards.

I know there's going to be a hard sell during and after the lessons to go with them going forward, but will see how good the instructor is and what prices are being offered; there's a stigma that these "big driving schools" are a total rip-off and I agree they might be more expensive, but if its like £2 an extra per hour and the instructor is good, I'd rather pay than having to try out other instructors and waste time in the process.
#28
Can it be used for pass plus tuition?
#29
i want to book this for my son but the list shows the nearest place as london on the groupola website which is a bit far from us but when i put my postcode into the book now as mentioned previously it is showing booking dates for september for lessons :? so does this mean this offer is not on in my location? thanks

I don't think you can. according to their website "The offer is ONLY available to totally new drivers and can be bought for friends/family.
#31
I figure it's worth a try, had my provisional for a year and a half now, not done anything with it yet.
What's the deal with Groupola though?
#32
hmmm,, so what makes you think it may be the first 3 lessons that count,, it could be the 1st, 20th, and 50th.

i run a national school, and we charge £25 per hour, so if as someone says,, get it for £14 per hour,, ask yourself how much the instructor knows,,,, and always ask their grade of the last check test and ensure they are fully qualified GREEN BADGE holders,, not "pinkys" which is just a trainee,,, although the DSA allow them to teach, most know nowt.

be carefull please.

Took this from their website, educated or what lol

Your car will normally be either a Vauxhall Corsaz, Hyundai Getor the new edition to our fleet, the BMW Mini!

and/or display inappropriate or acceptable behaviour toward the instructor and/or other road users.

Just got an email from them. I live in Aberdeen...
Tried checking bumpers website before purchasing this voucher and website showed me prices available for the lessons. I assumed that means they have instructors available in Aberdeen.
Unfortunately seems that they don't have instructors after all

Apparently "London" is not an area they cover either...

I call shenanigans.
