Tesco have a great offer on Chablis (Chateau De Ligny).. half price at £4.49. Great deal in itself, but they also have a 25% off when you buy 6 bottles or more (of any wine), with takes it down to £3.37 a bottle.

My wife's favourite wine so took the opportunity to stock up! Was plenty more in the Sheffield (Abbeydale Road).

Both offers are running until 5th October.

nb ."25% off on All Wines and Champagnes when you buy 6 or more - valid on deliveries between 29th September until 05th October. Discount applied at point of delivery"

A great NZ SB on this deal too.

Wairau Cove New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc 75Cl - now half price @ £4.99 comes to £22.45 for 6 which after the 25% discount is £3.74 a bottle – this should be £9.99 a pop. That’s a saving of over £6 a bottle.

What year is this? 2009 is nowhere near as nice as 2008 apparently.

Didn't really rate this compared to many other New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs. Worth £3.74 and maybe even a fiver. But never worth £10.

Are you sure you get 25% off already discounted wines? I don't think so!

If you check every wine on the site they have all already been reduced by at least 25%. This deal is wrong and needs to be expired.
#13
not entering the extra 25% off for me

That link (http://www.tesco.com/groceries/ProductBuylist/default.aspx?id=L00001644) is for student discounts. It also specifies "discount at point of delivery". I assume this mean that they will ask for student ID when they deliver, then refund the 25% after you prove you are a student.

FYI - cheapest delivery slot I could see was £3.00, which took my total price to pay to £29.94 (excluding the discount).

nick666 - did you see any signs or posters instore which mentioned the discount? I just went to Tesco Express in Marylebone, London and these bottles were £9.34 each oO and no 25% discount in sight either!

Thanks. Still might give it a try at this price.

the discounted wine in store comes up with 25% off at tills--only bought the Cape Rose at £3 a bottle, reduced from £4.49 I think -but got £4.40 discount-on 6 bottles--so a bargain really.
Will have a better look tomorrow for some better stuff for Christmas!

This was about £2.80 a bottle around this time last year, in a similar deal 3 for a £10 plus 25% off the original price (£9.99) if you bought 6 or 36 as it was in my case. Not a bad SB but certainly not up with most Marlborough SB's.

Oh and the OP has good this right for all those saying t should be expired, the extra 25% off 6 or more bottles is always discounted on delivery.

Just off to Asda to stock up on the oyster bay SB they have priced at £4.48, no cloudy bay but very good none the less. Might pop in tesco and pick up six Wairu Cove. Just finished the 60 bottles I got from the Gondola offer, lasted quite well, but then the missus get pregnant probably helped with that. I still gave it a good go on my own!!

No discount added forme either.

No discount added forme either.
That's because there is no additional 25% discount! The whole site already has at least 25% off. So what you see is what you pay.
#23
I'm going to expire it based on that.

That's not true.. it's 25% taken off at the till. So you won't see the 25% in your basket (much like many other multi-buy discounts at Tesco online). They deliberately do that not to confuse customers with offers expiring before they are picked for delivery (for example, order the wine for delivery next Saturday and it won't be picked until that day and the offer will have finished).

Can assure you that 6 bottles bought in store or online (with delivery on or before the 5th) will have the discount.

Edited By: nick666 on Sep 30, 2010 22:11: corrected 6th to 5th

Can confirm that 25% applies at the till on top of the discounted price. So good deal. Bought 6 about 45 minutes ago. It is a special until 5th Oct (I think) in place of the 5% for 6 bottles according to the banners outside and in store.

Are you dumb, can you not read, extra discount added on delivery, as it always has been for the X amount of years.

Just back after picking up a selection of 10 bottles from tesco with all the discount. No luck at Asda with the Oyster Bay, that's Netto and Asda I've come home dry on this one, let's try third time lucky online.

Agreed! so is their service claimig it's in stock 24 hr despatch and get nothing made to wait 2 weeks then refunded.

But I ordered some wine from their Tesco wine (not grocery) and got it delivered next day. Driver said he'd been out delivering so many cases, they've got instructions that anything from tesco wine that arrives in their depot must go out immediately!.

Had a bottle of this last night.
Although I like Chablis, this really isn't all that good.
Still quite acceptable, but don't expect a classic.
#29
Sounds cool - need to stock up on wine so cool :o)
#30
i don't believe the chablis is discounted. other wines nearby including the new zealand one have been reduced by 50% but i think this one is always £22.20 for 6 bottles
