As the title says....6 medium free range eggs for £1.

Think some fluffy scrambled eggs topped with some sardines all on toasted baguette for brekkie this morning.

Iceland do 6 large free range eggs for £1.

I bought them yesterday. Very disappointing - TINY pale yellow yolks, bland taste. Would never buy them again from Iceland.

You must have got a bad batch, iceland freerange eggs are fine, i use em often, way cheaper than tesco who charge about £1.60

Just to say, both Tesco and Sainsbury do 15 free range eggs for around £2.55. They are of differing sizes, but for most things you don't really notice the difference.

Sainsbury = 15 family free range eggs - eggs of different sizes.

I think they are very good value and as I don't have a Spar.

Hope this helps as well

my local farm does a tray (30 eggs) of free range eggs for £3.50 or £1.50 a dozen. I'm not seeing this as a great deal.
#13
£1 in Asda also..... Glenrath farm free range eggs.
#14
Even my local shop does 6 free range eggs sourced locally for around a £1.

Are supermarkets fleecing customers with a product perceived as premium? Answers on a postcard.

Do it! Don't expect to get cheap eggs as the cost to keep them and the time to look after them far outweighs the price of eggs but I wouldn't ever give my 11 up. Look after them properly and the eggs you get are phenomenal. :-D

commercial free range egg production is not healthy fat hens grazing in acres of lush pastures like the pictures on the box.

get ' real ' free range from a local smallholding, the eggs will be much nicer and free of colourants and antibiotics.Or even better keep your own hens,

Just to add my tuppence, Lidl do 6 free range eggs for £1 too...Im sure they're not the greatest, but they're fine...and £1!

Good price for a Spar shop.
£1 for 6 large free range eggs at Iceland.
#23
99p for half a dozen in Aldi.

Not the same quality as organic free range, small yolks and white was way to watery
#24
Good price for free range, I'll stick with the Organic Free range ones I currently have get 28 or so a week for £3.50ish. From happy hens too, how do I know they are happy? Because I fuss them daily and they love following me round the garden!

Massive yolks and massive eggs at times, largest was 98Grammes!

I have 6 hens, 5 hybrids and a Lavender Araucana (the one in my avvi), time looking after them is 5 minutes a day changing the bedding but they get 10 minutes of being fussed over at the same time, they are very affectionate birds really tame and love jumping on your lap to be stroked! The Araucana will sit on your spade while trying to dig so she gets first dibs at worms!

The Hybrids lay on average 4 eggs a day between them, the Araucana lays none yet while we have had her (got her off freecycle along with one of the Hybrids).

The eggs are amazing though, fill of taste with large yolks.

Netto have these at £1 too.

I get hens eggs and duck eggs from a market stall.
