i think the magazine is a bi-weekly publication so keep an eye on the subcription, i think if you cancel the ddebit once payment is taken they receive notification from the banks

Just a warning, I did this the last time the 6 for 6p offer was on. I was waiting to cancel my subscription after receiving the 6th issue, but on the day it arrived, when i checked my bank account, I discovered that they had already craftily taken out the payment for 6 months subscription, over a week before (i.e. long before the final free magazine had even been published). So far, despite promises, I have yet to get my money back. :x

Can't you cancel now? Since you've paid, they need to continue to send the mags, but at least you won't forget again in March.

It clearly says:

Subscription Term:
13 Issues (6 months) Direct Debit @ £12.25, First 6 Issues Plus FREE CD-Rom 9 @ £0.06

So you are clearly signing upto 13 issues with the first 6 @ 6p, the other 7 issues will be charged at full price!

hiya the first main bit does say...
"If you wish to continue with your subscription, " so this 12.25 subscriptionpart is optional

I think you will find that you are clearly wrong. The 6p is for the first 6 issues and then if you wish to continue it is £12.25 for the next 13 issues. The best thing to do is to cancel your DD immediately the 6p has been claimed by them. You will still get the full 6 issues you have paid for and then when they try to claim the next payment, your bank will refuse the request ant thus they will not send you any more issues.HTH.:)

If you have trouble remembering to cancel, here's a top tip:

Get a Gmail (googlemail) account, and use the Calendar function to set reminders for everything you need to cancel, even months in advance.

You can get alerts by email, pop-up, and even a free text to your mobile. Or like absent-minded me, all three!

While you're there, don't forget my birthday(!).
