All I wanted it for was to blow up quad and car tyres quickly because my 12V one didn't have enough oomph!

You can normally get 24l versions for that price. Much more versatile.

Would all the cold blowers explain why they are voting cold......or do are they truly spineless?

Excellent. Can you inform the class where we might find a 24L one for that price?

They regularly have them in Aldi, still got some stock in my local branch from the last time. By the way, if that accessory pack is what I think it is then the spray gun won't work on this. You need about 7cfm for a good gravity/suction feed or 11cfm+ for HVLP:thumbsup:

Edit: I take it the kit looks something like this?

Yes but it doesn't have the red one. The compressor itself is 7CFM. I thought it was a good price but then again, we don't have ALDI in Northern Ireland.

Like for like it is a good price, but like I say, not a lot of use. By the way its the FAD cfm that's important. Displacement cfm just means it can shift that much air in a minute but not at the rated pressure, if that makes sense?

I bow do your superior knowledge! So far it is a good job for me who just wants it for occasional use. I can't see me ever trying to paint anything with it. Perhaps a nail air gun would be cool :)

You just know i'm going to say Aldi have nailers in quite regularly too:oops:

If you're into modelling etc, or spraying small things then I recommend this : http://www.justoffbase.co.uk/Air-Brush-Kit-without-Propellant-Sealey-AB931?sc=2&category=17

Got one myself for spraying engine parts. Takes ages but it gives a better finish than the cheap pen type airbrushes;-)

Lidl and Netto also sometimes do compressor deals - Netto had some in about a month or so ago. Depends if you have a Netto/Lidl in NI.......
