  Does anyone know how these compare with the American Region A Versions?
  
  This is a great price but I want all the extras if possible and I think some extras are missing from UK dvds/blus

  Hmm dark to an extent but very much tongue in cheek, the one episode where it ended with Jenson Ackles singing eye of the tiger Dean does eye of the tiger pretty much sums up how 'dark' this is.
  
  They spoof so many things on this show that it was easy to get sidetracked from the main story which faded off after season 5 or so

  Seasons 1-5 are excellent - there are a few "spoof" episodes that are really there just to lighten the tone and provide some distraction to the main storyline, which is rarely optimistic!! Think of them as side-quests in an RPG!!
  
  Season 6 started BADLY however and I gave up on it after about 3 episodes. Is it worth going back?

  I would say its definately one of my favorite shows on t.v. at the moment it does have a dark comedy style about it but season 7 starts to get back into a (big bad boss) which sets the tone for october when season 8 starts if you like stuff like buffy and angel its a must i just got the season 1-6 dvd set and i enjoyed watching through them again.

  Just had season 5 delivered today and that cost me £13.50 from Amazon as me and the Missis are revisiting the whole lot after the end of season 7 in the states will definately be ordering season 6 now as season 6 was very expensive as its the latest on Bluray. This is a fantastic show and everyone who like these kind of shows should give it a go.
