Thought this was a good deal myself, a nice 6 seater stained picnic bench. Selling for £129 at Amazon from the same seller.
Has received decent reviews. I ordered mine last night and dispatched today.

Also sold in natural un-stained

3 cm thick wood

6 seater but the table top looks barely large enough to hold 6 pint glasses let alone 6 plates.

Table top is 90cm and a footprint of 175 cm so should be perfect size for my little garden.

Take great care here. This is pine, and stained or unstained it will need a great deal of regular maintenance (every year) if you're to stand any chance at all of its not rotting before your eyes.

Thanks for the advise Newbold. I have been told all outdoor wood furniture should be retreated yearly. Hopefully I'll manage to keep it up

Not all wood - many hardwoods (like teak) require very little maintenance. Then there are the lookalike 'woods' such as Polywood and Winawood - look like wood, but no maintenance at all.

Pine is a softwood, usually used indoors - give it 2 coats of a decent preservative every year if you want to keep it, and ideally store it in a garage over winter.

What were you expecting at this price? Brazilian Rosewood?
They're all pine. Look in your local pub beer garden. Pine. I don't see them rotting before my eyes. Paint it every few years, no problem.

He was just offering some advice to people who may not know better. No need to go off the deep end on the subject.

I was expecting a picnic table with 6 seats to be able to accommodate 6 people, i.e. to be fit for purpose rather than a garden ornament.

Where is a good place to get a hard wearing 4 seater bench and table similar to those in parks?

Quite a range here, but they're pricey:

Will last for many years, though. Western Red Cedar, for example, will last for at least 30 years without any treatment at all.
