Sounds great to me. Our optic tree gave up the ghost last year, so time for a new one. Thanks for the heads up. Heat added.

voted hot

Are these deals really hot?

Maybe it is just me but it seems that it is impossible to buy Christmas trees / decorations at full price at the moment. It would seem stores may have sold them at higher prices in September / October when there is a mad rush on christmas trees :whistling: to meet the legal requirement to sell at a higher price only to find that having not sold many/any they can then offer massive discounts in November / December when people might just be on the look out!

Not going to vote cold but to me this is just adjusting the price to what it should be and making it comparable to other retailers rather than a hot deal. If an item could be identified as being much cheaper than any other place you might sway me but nothing added here so far does I'm afraid.

indeed, the focus near me is closing soon

Yup, can't think of one thing i have ever purchased from focus... EVER!

Sunnysider, your comments are spot on, first thing i thought..... The prices they were charging were hugely over priced. The price drop brings it in line with others like ARGOS and TESCO / ASDA etc etc

thanks for the info :)

Been there this morning. Great deals. £100 value for £40. Got a snowman , a lit topiary and an LED tree. It was busy at 9am in Paisley. Yo ho ho!

ok possibly a stupid question but this should include real trees shouldnt it???????

Also do Focus sell real trees

It says all tree's and lights in the store, my store does sell real trees.

i got a £30 black tree (very nice 7ft bushy one) and £20 of led lights for £19.99. bargain.

Just paid a visit myself - lots and LOTS of lights - and at 60% discount they are cheap.

Got two big blue snowflake lights + 2 x 160 colour chasing lights (and some things to stick them on windows) all for under £25.

May pop back in tomorrow for more at this price :)

So has this started or does it start tomorrow as per OP?

I went into my local Focus.

Tried to buy a reindeer that was lit up with leds.

Was told that it was classed as an ornament (not light) and that it wasnt included in the 60% off deal.

Bloody ripoff. Really think the advertising is missleading. Nothing in small print about exclusions.

We got a crackle glass vase, that is also lit up with leds, last night and that was included in the 60% off deal. I would have thought that would be classed as an ornament.

Got ours today. Very pleased. As for over charging to bring prices down to be inline with other retailers, not in my experience down in Devon. We have been looking for a tree since deccies have been displayed, and because we haven't had to buy one for a few years, I was amazed at the asking prices for thin and measly looking artificial ones! That has been in places like Tesco and Argos. You certainly didn't get a lot for your money. So to get a lovely looking black artificial one with led lights, deccies and a 4way ext. plug, and save £60+, I was happy.

Deal ends tomorrow, and yes it included real trees aswell.

Their customer services (for complaints) is not open weekends.

Might go back and have words with the Manager tomorrow.

I am guessing that the discount should just come off automatically and that they dont need to do anything manually?

Went into my local store last night and was told the sale on xmas items was back on again from today (Fri 5th Dec)
