Often available for around £11 or £12 but still a good price.
I find the build quality very lightweight and dislike the keyboard layout but at this price can't argue too much.

+1 keyboard layout

Cheers dude!

I've had mine for a few months now and both keyboard and mouse are perfect! I've had to change the batteries in the mouse once, but the keyboard is still going.

Hot.

I much prefer a wired keyboard and mouse.
#8
I got this keyboard and mouse a few weeks ago from amazon

and sent it back , it was so flimsy and poorly made

I seen a thicker slice of toast

not the usuall Logitec quality .
#9
Bought one of these sets from Morrisons a few months back for £9.99......not used it yet though

Think that you both may be confusing this with the EX100, that is thinner and was available from Morrisons.

I much prefer a wired keyboard and mouse.

For what reason?
#12
I agree about wired keyboard, if only because the hours I put in typing flatten keyboard batteries quickly enough to be inconvenient. If you do quote how long your mouse batteries last, qualify it with hours of usage a day too.
#13
i got the ex100 a few weeks back for 15ukp from amazon and as a long-term disliker of anything wireless, i actually quite like this.

the keyboard is almost full size (just got the home/end key area a bit squashed) and the only thing i'd like on the mouse is some side buttons.

plug'n'play on linux

Ordered! Thanks!
#15
Thanks hot .. ordered one
#16
good price but I tried wireless in the past only to revert back to wired after numerous problems.
#17
I brought one about 6 months ago from ebuyer. Within a week the F11 key was stuck down. Not physcially, just was acting as if it were stuck down. Hold down the F11 key when using the internet to see what the problem was.
(it also ran the batteries down to)
I have had the second one 6 months and it has just developed the same fault.

Perhaps try another brand.
#18
Good price, I'm still using the keyboard but have reverted back to my older, corded Logitech mouse as the input lag on the wireless one is just too important to play games comfortably.

I wish you could still get usb ball mice.

For what reason?

I can see what my neighbour types on his wireless one as it's synced with my dongle.
I'm staying wired on the keyboard ... wireless on the mouse only

Just kidding on the neighbour thing :p ... but it can be done

Lucky you, mine eats Duracell Plus like no tomorrow and build quality of both isn't the best

Probably why it's £11.99

Mine won't take rechargeable batteries either, unless you physically force the battery into the positive contact. Don't get that problem with Alkaline batteries

I bought one of these and a Logitech MK300 at the same time. The MK300 (which is now £16.99) was much nicer and did not seem as cheap and nasty as the EX110. I think it is well worth the extra money. I have returned the EX110 to be replaced with another MK300.
#22
i paid £25 a few years ago and its still going strong nothing wrong with the keyboard and the mouse is perfect the best one i ever used and it comes with a splash proof warranty
#23
Thanks, just ordered one
#24
I had a couple of these and found on both mice the left mouse button squeaked annoyingly! but still excellent value at this price.

edit

Just re-red what I wrote... I was being serious about the button squeaking when pressed and am not confusing my pet mouse, Arthur, for this Logitech mouse.

HATE wireless keyboards and mice.
More bother than they're worth.
When I got mine with my new comp a few years back, they give me so much bother I bought a wired Microsoft set and never used wireless since then. Battery us is awful - Id have thought it would last a year or so.
Have wired Logitech keybiard and mouse now - they're great.
#26
Tesco have been doing this for...ever
#27
I got one of these which was on clearance in Tesco's a while back. Unfortunately it was broken, so I returned it :)

Was thinking of getting a logitech keyboard/mouse, and this looks great, but can anyone suggest if it is worth a fiver more for this one?

Or should I go with this EX110 and save the money?
Any feedback would be appreciated and repped!

I had a Logitech Wireless Keyboard - Y-RC14,
which came in a set, including a wireless mouse. (cost about £30-£50, 10 years ago)
They both worked flawlessly for about 10 years before separately dying.
I used them both heavy, daily, for work and gaming, during that time.

So dont dismiss all Logitech Wireless items, if this one happens to be not so good.
(this item is very very cheap after all).
I suggest paying extra for an exceptional Logitech Wireless set.
Do your research, and you wont be disappointed.

i got this a year or so ago for around the same price .. only prob with it is the mouse squeaks ( really ... it does ! )

Thanks bogster, I was thinking of going for the MK300, it boasts good battery life and I do believe you 'get what you pay for'!
#33
Guys,

Do these wireless kits have any specific range?

No info on amazon page in technical specs section.
#34
I have one of these and it has decent range (use it for PC in front room - through the LCD when I can be arsed getting up from couch)

Good price too
#35
I bought these about a year ago when I rebuilt my PC and wanted to make it a little more "smart office" and a little less "custom gamer". I've never been a fan of wireless kit, but you know what? These work just fine...Honestly don't notice the difference...I've only done light gaming with them (CS:S mainly), but they work fine.

They look good, most of the keys are in vaguely the right places (delete takes a little getting used to) and, even at the £20 I paid for them, they're one of the cheapest kits about. Very good for this money,

this has been £13 in argos for ages, i bought one 3 months ago from there...

it works great, its not as cheap feeling or looking as everyone says and my mouse doesnt sqeek one bit.

the only problem with this is that there is no light to tell you when capslock is on or off! (hardly major, but can be annoying at times...)

Mine has a caps lock, number lock and Fn light but it's on the remote sender that you might have tucked away. The remote sender is also a bit clumsy, it has USB and PS2 connectors (one of each) but seems to work using just the USB - it's not a dongle thatr most wireless mice/keyboards have but a sender on the end of a 1.3mtr lead so good range is possible if the PC is a distance from the keyboard etc. But it's clumsy for laptops or neat desks. Many older Logitech mice/keyboards had similar arrangements..... pros and cons using this sort of sender.

As for the squeaking buttons, well I found it does it once it's used a bit it's not a big problem just an everso slight squeaky plastic sound. Still mice squeak don't they?! :-D

Certainly worth the price.

I think the post #22, 7 above your post answers the question quite well.........:whistling:
