Asda-Entertainment.co.uk have the "PSN Live Card 20.00" [Note the incorrect naming of a PlayStation Network Card (not an Xbox LIVE Card) across all of The Hut Group's web sites] for £17.91.

With the Bank Holiday Bargain "BH4" (10% off a £40 spend) voucher code, you can purchase 3 x £20 worth of credit for 3 x £17.91 (£53.73) & reduce this by £4 to bring the total to £49.73.

If you just want £40 worth of PlayStation Store credit; add two "PSN Live Card 20.00" (£17.91 each) to your Shopping Basket & then discount by £2 using the "BH2" (£2 off a £20 spend) voucher code. Total purchase price: £33.82.

"Please note: Your card will not be charged until your order is dispatched."

Potential QuidCo cashback (unconfirmed if valid for these items):
"8% for Asda Direct, Entertainment (cd's, dvd's, books and games), Pharmacy, Sunglasses, Gifts, Babyshop, Electrical, Flowers, Furniture, Homeware, Motor, DIY, Optical, Pharmacy, Photo, Sports and Leisure, Toys, Travel (excluding flights), PAYG Mobiles and Accessories"

PS. Unrelated to this offer, but worthy of note for all those wishing to purchase PlayStation Network downloaded games/content over this weekend, please note that the PlayStation Store will be unavailable between 8am & 9pm on this coming (Bank Holiday) Monday (30 August 2010) due to PlayStation Network maintenance:

Hence, make your purchases in advance of Monday. You *should* still be able to play online during the times specified (according to the European PlayStation Store Blog entry).

Sounds like a good deal, I have spent too much money on games recently so I'll have to sit this one out (still have £80 of PSN credit anyway) thanks though and heat added!

wipeout HD & joe danger to name a few for starters

Wipeout HD Fury £17.99
Joe Danger £9.99
Critter Crunch £4.79
Pixeljunk Monsters £3.99
Pixeljunk Shooter £6.29
Zen Pinball £6.29
Super Stardust HD £7.99
Noby Noby Boy £3.19
= £60.52

So at least 8 excellent games on average even if you're splurging on big titles.

Meanwhile I don't know if I want to commit to any credit at the moment as there's been a big dry spell for decent games recently. I suppose that Tomb Raider game is coming...

60 quids worth for 50 quid doesnt seem that great though.

if you buy 40 quid worth for 34 quid it means a discounted playstation plus account i guess.

Don't wait for Asda to deliver the cards - Shopto do these codes discounted too and they'll text them to you instantly

DLC for your favourite games (MW maps, Fallout add-ons?) Know what you mean though, even with that and the odd downloadable game it'd be hard to rack up £60 seeing as PSN play is free.

...but not at this price.

I bought from TheHut.com yesterday & they despatched my order just over 3 hours after I placed it. Asda-Entertainment, also one of the web sites The Hut Group run, may have similar despatch times, maybe not... but I've never had my credit card details used fraudulently & I've never received used items when expecting new ones like I have with ShopTo.net.

This aside, I can recommend the following titles available from the many I have bought from the PlayStation Store since the PS3 was first available in the UK:

Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection (Online)
PixelJunk™ Monsters
PAIN
Super Stardust HD™ Complete [Super Stardust Triple Pack: Super Stardust HD™, Super Stardust HD™ Solo, & Super Stardust HD™ Team]
Shatter™
Joe Danger

Many like...
Battlefield 1943™
Trine - The Game
Magic Orbz/Magic Ball™
Rag Doll Kung Fu™: Fists of Plastic

One of my kids is currently trying to finish "DeathSpank" before the second in the series ("Thongs of Virtue") is release next month.

One my list of purchasing soon:
Rocket Knight
PixelJunk™ Shooter
The Secret of Monkey Island™: Special Edition
Monkey Island™ 2 Special Edition: LeChuck's Revenge™
Peggle
Lumines™ Supernova
Dead Nation (when released)

The Tomb Raider game has received excellent reviews, based on the 360 version. I'm quite looking forward to it now, especially as we will get online co-op from the get go.

Castle Crashers should also be out soon - on the US store next week, awaiting 'localisation' or some other such rubbish here at the moment.

Hopefully Pixeljunk Shooter 2 should be dropping sometime soon as well - loved the first one to bits - that soundtrack was awesome.

Gamepro article of the 'Top 30' PSN games, as of May this year.

Bear in mind that it is a US magazine, and the prices quoted are in dollars. Also RE2 is listed there, which is not yet available in Europe (licensing problems).

I would personally recommend:

Trine, Shatter, Pixeljunk Monsters, Pixeljunk Shooter, Flower, Critter Crunch, Everyday Shooter, Superstardust HD, Peggle (!!!!) and Joe Danger, to name a few.
