600 Minutes
Unlimited Texts
1GB Mobile Web
Unlimited Virgin to Virgin

Standard Price: £15.32/month.
Price: £10.21/month.

New customers can get this as well as existing, as long as you have a package with Virgin Media - for example a Broadband/Cable TV/Home Phone package.

If they don't give it you to start with, ask to talk to retentions (who are UK based) and will offer you it immediately after referring to Tesco's 500/unlimited/500.

This is different to the 800 offer as it is open to more people.

So, if you are not a customer or a new customer then you wouldnt be calling retentions. And if you are a new customer, why would nt they give it to you?

They won't give it to you initially as their Sales Team are not UK Based and are not aware of competition's deals. Whereas, retentions is UK based and can offer you a much better deal.

You must also have Virgin Media TV/Broadband/Homephone though.

Retentions will more than likely offer you a better deal in February to keep you.

I guess they make it difficult because the real price of the 800min one is £20 a month so try not to give out the deal cheaper
#13
Not open to Virgin mobile customers i guess, seems a good deal as long as you have good T-Mobile coverage, coverage is everything :)

When i spoke to them they said if the deal involved a handet then it would be more like £30 a month. I had till 4th April on contract but they switched me to the 800 mins without asking me to buy myself out. I got a confirmation text within minutes. I was paying £18 for 300 mins so i was really happy.

Thats nothing, i bought an unlocking code for my Tocco Lite and it froze my phone, lost everything, over a years worth of data. They admitted they sold me a code to unlock a phone that cant be unlocked. I have hated beingon contract with VM for a phone, so glad i got the 800 mins deal so i can foof off when i want to.

It does seem all ar5e about face to get a deal. Why make it so hard to get the offer? You think they would make it really simple so they can poach new customers. :|
#25
I got the 800 mins deal after some argument. For the last two months they have charged me the full £20 rate and I have had to phone up to get the reduced rate applied that we agreed. If it happens again this month I will be going to Tescos.
#26
half price staff offer for me.
#27
Good deal when you eventually get it. Thanks
#28
just a heads up in case you live in Newport South wales.. dont bother! no reliable reception is available spoke to my mate on his moby about twice in a whole year!! awful
#29
would you also be entitled to the 15% student discount. I know you can with other Virgin media loyalty packages!
#30
sounds a great deal but I've had a virgin mobbile for over a year and coverage is poor in lots of areas (including at my house where I can only receive a signal if I sit in the bay window). As people have pointed out, coverage is the most important thing, though the virgin customer service team is excellent and two faulty phones I had were both repalced no arguments
#31
keep trying ..lucky dip.
If you feel not getting no where, hung up and Re call till you get the right person.

Initially Virgin didnt have a clue it couldnt be unlocked so sold me the code.Unelievable considering the phone has been around for a couple of years. I called samsung then googled it. Vm gave me a tocco phone replace it.. Just try googling you should find something, good luck

What the hell you have to pay 10p to call customer services on virgin?? What's that all about

Free if you have the right deal with landline/mobile supplier using landline no. 01256 752000 & ask for customer services, then you're on the "Choose option..." menu

Virgin Sales team are based in the Philippines, just spoke with them & they've been told the deal is for existing Virgin Mobile customers....

They have signed me up for £15.32 & when I get the sim I simply have to call retentions team in the UK & they'll change it to the £10.21 deal...

Have to call them when I get the new sim anyway to give them my PAC code

Its free to acess the menu but if you want to speak to an operator then you get the option to go ahead with a 10p call.
