Strange - I am with t-Mobile and have web-and-walk for 7.50 per month and it has a fair usage policy of 3Gb per month - 1Gb seems a bit measly :?

* 600 UK minutes and 1000 UK texts each month
* Plus choose your promotional Bolt On including unlimited text, unlimited O2 to O2 calls or unlimited browsing.
* Free voicemail and cheaper roaming rates with International Traveller Service (ITS)
* Browse the internet on your mobile for up to £1 per day
* Free itemised online billing

From Quidco:

Please read the following before proceeding:

Please note that cashback will not be awarded until the SIM has been active for 3 months. Any customers found to be deliberating defrauding T-Mobile for commission payments, will have their commissions removed.

I am with o2 simplicity and I think its better then this but if for some reason you want t-mobile (bad o2 singal for example) then good deal.
#15
o2 deal does have cap 250mb which is 4 times less than this deal, scareface please do research before posting

Still, if you use it for 3 months then cancel it it'll only cost you £25 after Quidco deductions. It seems good to me if you live in a bad reception area and just want to try another network. I'm stuck with Vodafone because I once switched to Orange and couldn't make calls from my house! I might give this a try... :w00t:

O2 Simplicity deal @ £20 for 600 minutes, 1000 texts and unlimited web bolt on, 30 day contract does not have a FUP of 250MB. Both myself and a colleague use in excess of a couple of GB a month and have not had any issues.

# Use of the O2 Web & Wi-Fi Bolt On is subject to an excessive usage policy as explained in point 3 below.
# The O2 Web and Wi-Fi Bolt On allows you unlimited use of O2 UK's Edge, GPRS, 3G and HSDPA networks, The Cloud's UK Wireless LAN network and the BT Openzone UK Wireless LAN network, for personal internet use and email on your iPhone only. All usage must be for your private, personal and non-commercial purposes.
You may not use your SIM Card in any other device or use your SIM Card or iPhone to allow the continuous streaming of any audio / video content, enable P2P or file sharing or use them in such a way that adversely impacts the service to other O2 customers. If O2 reasonably suspect you are not acting in accordance with this policy O2 reserves the right to impose further charges or disconnect your tariff at any time, having attempted to contact you first.

I use my phone for data through my laptop and have not had any issues - they will contact you first if you're killing the network, and you can choose to look elsewhere. The O2 plan is great for people who don't want a limit like the T Mobile one.

I hav left T-Mobile to this O2 deal. If you go overseas a lot, T-Mobile is the worst network to be with. Beside charging high rates for non-European countries, their system has a bug that even after you come back to the UK they keep charging you roaming rates for receiving calls unless you remove the batter from your mobile phone for a couple of minutes then turn the phone on again. When you call T-Mobile they issue a refund but if you travel a lot it's just a lot of inconvenience.

With O2, make sure you get the right number of minutes and text you want 'cause if you exceed that they have no mercy.

So with 3gig it would imply you could use the phone as a modem and run your laptop through it.

Have they any objections to this?

No, it's 1GB. Web + Walk is 1GB, Web + Walk Plus is 3GB and Web + Walk max (iirc) is 5GB. It makes little difference though, i've never been charged.

The T&Cs say no, they block it on standard W&W. You need W&W Plus or Max for most stuff. I've never heard of them blocking modem access though, not any of the other "bonuses" in the more expensive W&W packages. I think they are more of a garauntee than an exclusion for the cheap tariff.

Whichever way you look at this, the o2 deals simply kicks a$$. I switched from T-mobile to take this offer with o2 two months ago and frankly, it is the best £20 deal around at the moment:

T-mobile was ripping me off with their voicemail charges but with o2, I dont pay a penny!
I constantly exceed 3gb monthly usage but have not yet had any warning of any sort from 02, neither have I been charged for it.
Plus 02 also offer several "treats" which you can add onto your package at no additional cost.[/U][/B]
I've been absolutely happy as a pig in a pile of s$$t since I took up the 02 deal.
#30
good find, but like most people i would go for the 02 simplicity deal at £20.00, 600 mins 1000 txts, and web bolt.
banned#31
can I put the o2 or t monile deal into my 3 dongle at all ? and use as modem ?
#32
I think o2 have better coverage than T-mobile and so prefer the simplicity deal instead
#33
could anyone suggest a cheap phone to use this offer with please for my mum?
#34
any suggest a good cheap 3g phone to use this with please, im looking for my mum?

my missus is just coming to the end of her 12 month 02 contract so ma phone up tomorrow and switch her to the £20.00 simplicity tariff. thanks for head sup

So Can anyone shed some light on the 02 deal, being as similar as the T-mobile deal
As much as I am interested in the Free Minutes and Texts, I need to know the deal on the Web Bolt on, and has anyone got any evidence to support that they have exceeded their "Fair Allowance" and still used it.
Like someone previously posted, can the 02 sim be used to get on to the net, say if you have a Net book or even a laptop?
