This deal was posted about a month ago. Still, it's a good deal. You will need to sharpen the axe though.

Sorry did not realise it was something posted over a month ago....

I just thought it was a good deal....
#12
got one of these to hack some bushes in the spring...the handle is quite thick and if you have smallish hands you will struggle to get a good grip...so i may have to sand a groove in it for a better grip.
the axe is fine, good quality and robust enough to last many years.

Any Axe Deal Is a GOOD deal.........muhahahaha........;-)

Was hoping to get one of these but the closest I can find is in Aberdeen, 100 miles away. Think I'll save the petrol money and get the 5.99 one from the hardware store
#16
Are these legal to own just for the **** of it and keep in your room?
#17
Perfect for the wiferrrrrrr tree outside
#18
got 2 of them last time , well made and heavy enough to make light work of the chopping
#19
Got one last time around, very good deal (although the Chickens didn't agree).

Was going to get another one, but my nearest 10 stores are all out of stock...
#20
These are great to complement your home alarm system.
#21
They ban toys that resemble weapons and you can buy axes for less than £3? There is something terribly wrong in this country

(Obviously great price and heat added)
#22
I've got one with a plastic/rubber handle, although I haven't got much use for it. Don't know what use these small axes have? - because it was rubbish when I tried to hack an old tree root.

You can't ban everything in the total nanny state. I'd like a gun to shoot my burglars with - and the backing of the law to do it with. I don't fancy running after a chavvy, drugged up, scumbag with only an axe - it would be totally uncivilised

No, you need an axe licence. Go to your post office and ask for one. :whistling:
#25
Careful with that axe, Eugene....
#26
other than Aberdeen ,which is a 1040 mile round trip for me, has anyone found any stock ?
#27
hope the head doesn't fall off these....
#28
I have one of these. Great bushmans axe for the money.
If you're into camping this is great for chopping firewood for the camp fire
You are allowed to carry one if you have a proper reason to do so. Sat night in town on the **** with one of these in your pocket wouldn't go down well with the law :-D

The irony in my post is as much as in your mad max-related avatar... next to nothing.
The irony is in the government, not in my words.
Yes I'm being serious... they pull all sort of stupid laws and restrictions to reduce weaponry in the hands of gangs/neds/chavs... but what's the point if they can go buy an axe in Argos for £3?
Don't you see an irony there? The irony doesn't come from my post but from silly laws and restrictions

I'll ignore your pointless and unnecessary attempt to berate my avatar, it was pointless and unnecessary.

(1) If I remember correctly, the government banned the sale of replica guns. They also banned the carrying of knives in public places. I wasn't aware that they'd banned toy weapons. You can still buy toy guns, swords, knives etc., so I suspect that you're wrong on that point.

(2) Your definition of a weapon is somewhat flawed. An axe is a TOOL, tool, not a weapon. There are an infinite number of everyday items that could be used as weapons in the wrong hands. As an example, my toolbox is full of weapons; so is my kitchen drawer; even the vehicle that I drive could be considered a weapon of mass destruction in the wrong hands.

Surely you're not suggesting that our government should ban everything that could be misused as a weapon?

(3) Perhaps you're suggesting that our government should remove the laws and restrictions on guns, replica guns and the carrying of knives in public places? You refer to these laws as “stupid” and “silly” but do you seriously think that our society would be a safer place if the government were to remove these laws?

(4) Is your problem actually with the price of the axe? Is it too cheap? Would you like to see the government introduce a tax on axes? Another tax to make the world a safer and better place. They'd like that!

Yes, all of these suggestions are quite ridiculous. However, try as I might, I cannot see the point that you’re making. Please enlighten me.
