I believe you can get free postage via AV Forums but only if you have 20 posts or more.

Complaining about AVForums is entirely backwards.

If you are at all interested in computers, media or home entertainment, you will benefit from being a member there. THEN, you get rewarded with free next day delivery from DPD - who have been excellent every time I have used them - on top of all the resources and advice.

I have two of these - both Samsung drives.

Bought one of these 3 weeks ago for £50 from Scan free next day delivery. Solely for machines image/data backups.

HDD is Sammy as said by grumpyone.

So far cannot fault it. Picture on Scan's website is misleading. As per OP the model is SO-Mobile and hence the actual unit is: 640Mb SO-Mobile. Ugly but does the job.

Very good price.

You can always buy an internal 2.5" HDD 7200rpm + enclosure for better performance as alternative but not at this price.

Anyone know if these have a standard SATA drive in the enclosure?

Thanks for the info AugQX

Grumpiness, Would you mind pointing me in the right direction of better drives at around £46?, Had a quick look around but can't find any at around this price for more GB, unless you mean better features such as usb 3.0?

Any help would be much appreciated

Why? I was asking a plain simple question how would I know.

Can't you read I didn't comment on the postage costs so why quote it as if it was me??

I asked quite simply if it was any good because I was looking for advice.

Is this powered from a SINGLE USB port or one of those that gets connected to two to get enough juice. Wanna use with a single port from PS3 Slim
