mate its £49.34 on the today only page! £48.97 is only available for those subscribed to their email and will not be available to everyone at houkdeals so i guess i was right to vote cold.

I've changed it to Today only price, since it will be better for the the majority and left the price of the e-mail subscribers in the first post.

Good price - it's the same price per GB as the £76 1TB Samsung S2 so very good value...

*ahem* it's 37p difference actually (lol - just got my Maths Police badge). Seriously though @ computerman you really believe this is worth voting cold for on the basis that it's 37p more than you thought? If you can find a 640gb external Hard drive for the same price or less then I suppose it MAY be possible to justify a cold vote.:{

Superb price for a 2.5" 640GB hard drive, cheaper than buying an internal one. Top deal

I,m seriously thinking about getting one,However I have never heard of Dane Elec. Are they reliable?
I was hoping to use this with my Sumvision Cyclone Micro Media Player V2. I noticed that the hard drive is bus powered and therefore does not have its own power supply. Does anyone know whether this might cause a problem with playback if it has to use the media players power? Thanks.

Dane Elec just brand the enclosure and warrant it, the hard drive itself will be made by one of the big manufacturers like seagate or wd.

Oh brilliant. Thanks very much J400uk

I'm going to go home and check my bank balance before I order though.
