I'd be glad if they didn't have wifi - I love a nice break from the internet, dont go anywhere near it when on holiday

Too right, we've been on 3 cruises so far, the last being a 3 week trip from Southampton to the Carib and back. Never once did I miss the computer or the phone, in the whole 22 days. Too much to do, too much nice food and lots of great places to visit.

Cruises are brill !!! Hot from me, wish I could afford to go on that one too and get out of this snowy weather.

Looks fantastic, shame not an option for me though
#7
this is very hot! for what you get its amazing! Have some heat!

Just a shame theres no single person deals for cruises without paying huge supplements.

Depends on what time of year you go on one. We went in March and there was only 100 kids aboard and a loads of OAPs. Go in August and it's the other way around.

We didn't go with Thomson as they're a bit basic, but I'd take anything today in this weather.

Yes, there is indeed Wi-Fi, NO it is NOT free. Its actually very expensive as is most stuff on board these cruises.

You can buy a block of an hour for around US$50 from memory.

The internet quality depends of course on your location as well and may be off for hours or even days at a time.

If it's been on watchdog then I'm sure they would have improved things dramatically.

Nope, check out http://www.cruisereviews.com and http://www.tripadvisor.com

Stick to the likes of P&O or Royal Caribbean for cruising

Hot!

You voted hot purely on price ?
Not everything that's cheap is a bargain !

Taking everything into account ... voted cold

It wouldnt be so bad if all of the water was on the outside (_;)

I think I will give this deal a miss.

Thomoson Dream....................I remember it was on Watchdog about the quality of cabin and some nasty toilet and bathroom problems. Definitely vote cold...................
#26
wow.. watch the watchdog thing! was seriously considering it until i saw that
#27
The Watchdog report was very heavily exaggerated, as usual. There were some teething problems which Thomson should have addressed sooner, but customer reviews for the last couple of months have been very positive. The Dream has just been in for a re-fit as well.

We've been with Thomsons and had a great time. This is a good price, but some other cruise lines have been heavily discounting lately as well and tend to offer more. Not sure I'd want to cross the Atlantic in December either- I'd prefer my 14 days in the Caribbean!

If you are the sort of person who holidays at Butlins then this is for you. If you are more upmarket, stick with RCCL, P&O, Celebrity etc.

Majority REGULARS on this site are either on benefits or work under 20 hours. These sort of holidays are lifetime investments. We pay higher VAT for their ciders and holidays.

Looks like a scam to get you to sign up for email spam - probably just one cabin available. It's an old trick ...
#31
this is a good deal but thomson cruises are not real cruise ships, most of them used to be ferry and they are really only a 1-3 star.

if its cheap and cheerful you want then go for it but dont expect a luxury cruise line!

i have worked in the cruise industry for years!

Quality!
#33
Good reduction but rrp cruise prices are vastly inflated (everyone gets a big discount) and Thomson Cruises don't have a great reputation.
#34
I am a regular on this site, though not on benefits I just like a bargain, got several off here already today. Cruises are not quote..lifetime investments, anymore I have been on three this year and although I am a member of Butlins, I would not go there again as cruise prices are comparable believe it or not and cheaper than Warners holidays. I have paid £60 per night all inclusive on Canary Isle cruises where else would you get those prices

What's moronic is people who just read "was £1599 now £649" in the title and automatically vote hot

Outside cabin.........great.............after reading the reviews i hope it has an outside toilet

We go on cruises at least twice a year and would never consider Thomsons. They buy older ships that the big cruise lines would never consider using so standards are low. We are out in Florida at the moment and are going on the Celebrity Solstice on Sunday which is a true 5* ship. We booked a top class cabin with private balcony for $549. This works out at £350 for a week cruising the Eastern Caribbean on a top class new ship. Why would anyone want to go on a Thomsons basic cruise when you can get great prices on much better ships?
