best deal of late, was lucky to get for £749 from JL couple month back (due to this, not deal of century but great tv in my opinion)

Possibly helpful info...

Was this price at Argos in September according to AV Forums.

Eurogamer are recommending the 7000 not the 5500 and not for HDR: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2016-best-black-friday-tech-and-pc-deals difference seems to be 7000 has local dimming, this doesn't?

Here's the AV Forums owner's thread: https://www.avforums.com/threads/hisense-h65m5500-owners-thread.2041683/

No difference apart from colour, name and price. One is 2015 model, one is 2016 but EXACTLY the same spec

Bought a week ago at full price, quick phone call to JL and they have refunded the £100 difference!
Brilliant tv, very very happy with it.

Not at all, they are just quite new to the UK. They were the main sponsor of Euro 2016.
Really insightful review here for this TV: https://www.avforums.com/review/hisense-H65m5500-M5500-uhd-4k-hdr-tv-review.12991

Dude I'm with you...I like Jap quality though Hisense is meant to be good. You could turn it into a Panasonic with this from ebay:

One is silver and one is black. Apparently the 65M5500 is a newer model also.
#28
If the specs on this set are EXACTLY the same as the 65K5510 then it has a 10 bit panel.

My original budget was around £1k, so I'm torn between the two. Is it worth going for Hisense 65M7000 because of oled? Is that worth spending £400 more?
