@jaffacat do they sell dictionarys in your local aldi?? I would pick yourself one up .

Pointing out others spelling mistakes on line is actually considered very rude marvel1975, so maybe if they sell manners at Aldi I would suggest you buy some.

You will have a problem even to boil water in your electric kettle (probably 2000W or something)... :p

800w seems a bit on the low side I'm no electrical expert as you may be able tell but I can't see this thing handling much thrown at it.

Great if you want to charge your cordless drills/ run a normal light/ power a small desktop PC, but not really enough if you want to use power tools, boil water or do any cooking (better with a small gas stove for that)

Probably not for me this one (would really need to be twice the power) but looks good value given the limitations.

ive used an identical unit for a power drill and angle grinder, no problems whatsoever
bargain price and id buy it but i have 2 already!

Great for small drills and grinders, plus other power tools. Wouldn't plug any sensitive tech into it tho, unless you use a compatible ups with it. Better to have 2000w+ as I have, but then they are not so portable!

poor power output/smelly dirty 2 stroke/not voltage regulated so no use for powering electronic equipment. So only good for very small power tools or the odd spot light. 12v dc side would would be limited to around a 40AH battery or it would blow the overload trying to charge it (unless you put a resistor in line to limit the current draw). But stil a good price for what it is I suppose.....

Sale prices at ALDI as set by the local manager to make space for new items, they are not national. They used to be pretty quick about it, but now it can take weeks or months, depending on the location.

would never buy electricals from there ever again after a faulty microwaven oven, 3 later and had a battle to get money back. appaulling have to deal with the manufacturer not aldi!

What? For when you're gaming in a field?

Anyway I'm not sure about this, but I'm pretty sure that power from something like this would cause all kind of problems for computers.

Only by those who can't spell! X)

Anybody know what the max current output is at 12V? Presumably it's not 100% efficient so it'll be somewhat less than 650/12...
