This power supply does not get good reviews at all - the fan is noisy and the performance in comparable to a 500w mediocre PSU and is also inefficient in power consumption.

You could probably use it for a lower end home PC but definatley not for a high end gaming PC.

The reviews I read said it was OK, efficient, but a bit noisy under load.
A 500W would do for most people anyhoos..
Agreed , not top notch, but might do someone on a budget :)

So order some other bits to bring it up to the value - and it'll only cost around 20+ quids :)

Even if it is only closer to 500w, thats still more than plenty for 99.99(9)% of PC's, even if you and your e-peen like to think otherwise :|

Must have been a mis-price. I went to order one from the today only section, it came up at something like £9999, and is now not showing on today only. It is in stock at the full price of £50+

Really wanted one of these - as the price for a modular PSU normally is no where near this, it was a HOT deal, and the fan may be noisy, but it does the job really well (not sure about the 500w comments though!)

Oh well

Yep, some of us do, are you included? ;-) As you can see from djfluff it was coming up at £11,500 from the today only screen but it was still in stock in the normal part of the scan site at £50+. If it's a valid today only item at scan they don't limit the quantities, they sell it until the next offer or until their supply is exhausted. This was obviously an error by scan and was withdrawn form their today only offer when they realised the pricing error.
