Can you put this up yourself?
Yes, but it would probably hurt and take a bit of getting back out again!

What makes this luxury, please?

The 6 letter word in the title ;)

Are Argos legitimately allowed to advertise this as ‘luxury'? Trading standards need to have a word with nonsense like this.

By luxury I think they mean it has more than three branches and is 'fuller' than your average fake tree.

There's also a discount code 'HOME25' when you spend £20 or more on Christmas trees

I find the ones with the plastic stands are usually poor quality

I have seen these on display, they're the ones they use in store. I wouldn't even buy it for £1. More budget than luxury!

This one does

I believe that the this one is for £12.99 with Bottom branch diameter 41.7 inches whereas the Pre-lit Christmas Tree - 6ft is for £19.99 with Bottom branch diameter 34 inches. Thus they are calling this as LUXURY. :)

Anyone picked this up yet? Is it light enough and boxed compactly enough to carry home on a train journey?

"Please note item 2328986 has previously been on sale at 19.99."

Still a decent deal though.

Because some trees are 'pre lit'..... what are you? A Christmas tree Virgin, or just an eejit!?

It might be cheap, but I got mine about 6 years ago for 9 quid in Argos and it's had nothing but compliments every yr. You can make a cheap tree lovely with the right decorations. Heat from me!

Some would say you cant polish a turd, but you can roll it in glitter - in this case wrap it in tinsel. ;-)

I've just pick one up. It's really light. I'm a bit scared it's going to be a piece of tat! I'll let you know when it's up.
