  got this phone/deal for my daughter,

  I can't see any mention of VAT NOT being included, and as it's a consumer, site, the VAT SHOULD be included ... or at the very least, mentioned as excluded.

  This is a great deal for a great phone - with one caveat: it's now a pretty old handset and significantly better specs can be had for not much more (especially given that you're locking in for 2 years).
  
  Still, as a first smartphone, you won't go far wrong, especially for a younger user, where the generous text allowance should (just about ;) ) cover it. It's also quite small and will suit users with smaller hands - unlike some handsets with bigger screens that pretty much need to be used two-handed.

  I took this deal out recently and rang to confirm its £7.50 including vat. Some people might be getting confused as the first bill includes partial payment from the time you sign up until the end of that month and then £7.50 advance payment for your first full month - my first bill was over £9.

  Got this deal with the Sony XPeria, not a great phone but already have a Galaxy Ace which is also not the best, but for what I use it for they'll do.
  
  Probably would say the Galaxy is better, just.
