Most SoC manufactures using Cortex A8 designs stopped at 1Ghz as there were newer designs available from ARM. The A10 SoC which is a Cortex A8 design has a native clock speed of 1.2Ghz. However many Chinese manufactures overclock it as its stable at 1.5Ghz. The down side to this is that as you crank up the clock speed the power usage curve goes up in relation to the performance increase.
I think it's all interesting that this SoC unit is available for around 7 bucks a pop in quantity! Stupid money!

Seems a decent screen res for the size.
Maybe, but this already has ICS so why the need to upgrade?
