good deals! heat added!

the dyson one is good - need a new one too so will take a look. Thanks

edit: hmm... not so good as doesn't apply to the one I had my eye on - the Dyson DC19 - only offered on the more expensive models

Argos is the worst store for taking faulty goods back, try anywhere else first.

Need to buy a mattress so the free delivery is spot on, heat added

Why would you say that, sure your not thinking of The Dixons Group? I have to say (allthough I am a little biased) that Argos are one of the easiest stores to take faulty goods back. My store literally takes back anything that is faulty with a reciept within 12 months, allthough not with mobiles and some high priced electrical items, where the product will need to be sent for repair.

25% off Lego? I have waited since Xmas to see if anybody did a promo on Lego. My son's birthday is in the middle of may. Finally bought some at full price. Grrrrr... Should have waited....

bought my tv through Argos, got a letter for 3 year warranty & 3 year accidental warranty for free. they also sent me a better model as the one i ordered was out of stock.

a good reputable company in my opinion and never experienced a problem with returns.

My experience with Argos has been very goo. I took a sleeping back that I had for a few months and it was clear that I had got the zip stuck in the fabric and tried a little too hard to get it unjammed and resulted in tearing the sleeping bag. Went to Argos on the off chance and they replaced it no problems.

Disagree... I have had a Britta kettle with them which has gone faulty twice about 3 weeks before the warrentee expired. They gave me a new one each time with no problems and another 1 year warrentee! :)

The 42" Panasonic Plasma looked good at £549 - until I saw they have no stock to collect or deliver - way to go Argos, for discounting something you can't actually supply
#12
I've never experienced a problem with returns in Argos and I've returned a fair bit :-)

Thanks so much for posting this, like Apples I've been waiting to buy a mattress, lots of good deals and excellent with the delivery being free. Thanks :-)

Ypu can try and get JL or Richer Sound to price match. I know they check for stock you never know they might overlook it?

Poor, poor comment, no reasoning behind statement.
HOT for deal and store.!

I disagree too, never had a bit of trouble with argos, in fact I would pay a little extra for the peace of mind it would give me that they are so good in taking back returns.

Yes, might be worth a go - John Lewis have just added stock for this TV - they want £599

Not sure if it is going to be any good though? I know Panasonic make great Plasma's, but the C10 is the lowest spec in the range. Might be worth a bit extra for the X10? Or the same price for an older X80?

EDIT: Hey ho, I've given it a go - just emailed Reading store to see if they will price match for me. Here's hoping...........:-D

I don't know anyone that has ever had problems exchanging faulty goods at Argos.
I wish I didn't live right across the road from my local store, temptation is too much.
#19
They are one of the best firms for replacing things never had any bother
#20
they swapped my faulty freesat box over six months after i bought it (managed to keep the free hdmi cable too)
#21
I nearly ordered a new mattress last weekend - glad I didn't now. Saved on delivery - and some good deals there. Heat & Rep added.

Ta.

Is it? I take loads of stuff back

Saw this deal and I thought excellent I will get the Garden table and chairs I want, I checked them 2 weeks ago and they were £199 for the set.

But with this offer they are £198.21 with a was price of £264.29 :(

Looks like they have artificially raised the price in the last 2 weeks to now have them on offer with a whopping (real world saving) 79p off, very devious and because of this I won't be buying

I think this is a really good deal for the Wii - to include Wii Play with rempte and the acsessory pack. Anyone know of any better deals.......cause if not im off to Argos tomorrow!
#26
Argos have been fine with me in the past with returns, like someone said. Dixons have been the worst. I gave up with them. I will never buy anything from them again!!!!

Not as good as Asda, they take any of my stuff back and never check it like Argos. Heck they take their own branded stuff back without receipts even though they're like 2 years old lol!
#29
Dyson's seemed to have increased in price!
#30
Used to work for argos on customer services in my student days. They are spot on for returns. I always keep hold of my receipts and no matter what they HAVE to sort it if within 12 month warranty. I had an 11 month old computer chair and the raise and lower mechanism went - took it back and got a new one no questions asked. Electrical items older than a few months tend to get sent off for repair IF the manufacturers offer a repair facility (not all do). A lot of the time they can't be repaired and you end up with a brand new one anyway.

No luck with the price match unfortunately, as Argos are not holding any of these TVs in store - it is a delivery only item. JL phoned me back with a decision within a couple of hours - very good customer service, I have to say. These TVs are available to be delivered from Argos at the moment (postcode dependent I guess), as I have just phoned them and checked. The fact that the website is showing no availablilty for delivery is an error. Tempted to buy from Argos, but I really want that 5 year JL warranty.................decisions, decisions........

Agree with everyone else, Argos have always been wonderful for me, have taken a fair few broken things back to them, no problem what so ever!!

A note on the dyson offer though, I just bought the Dyson DC24 just over a week ago for £184.xx it went up £50 the next day, for a week, and then this offer came on. Bit sneaky!! And anyway, it's cheaper on Amazon, even taking into account the voucher, I only bought it there because I had a lot of gift vouchers, (from a return I had to make!!)

I know chuff all about matresses. Could anyone take the time to suggest if any of the half price ones are of good quality? Around the 140 mark. At half price I would assume anything was good value.

Thread below helped me a lot in choosing my mattress, so might be worth reading/ asking on there?

I've took quite a few things back to Argos when faulty and so long as I've had my receipt they've replaced no problem... maybe it's just you....

Why would you take an Argos product to another shop if its from Argos lol.
