very nice frames, but it still cost too much for me, a tenner would be nice hehe.

thank anyway

Yeah I will not buy one until they come below £20, to be honest I think they will cost pennies to make so it won't be long for them to drop right down in price.
#3
£40 aint bad, and it looks a little like the phillips one which is well over double the price. I would watch out for the screen resolution as it is quite low.
#4
I'll add the delivery charge - please try to include this :)

That's a brill price by the way. :-D

Thanks from me too beerman1 :)

Guys unless the resolution is 800x600 or more dont bother, ive seen a few of these and picture quality is shocking.

Amazon do a similar one for fifty quid that has a higher resolution of 480x234, free super saver delivery.

I think the resolution on this one is the same as on Amazon, it is just typo in description on eBuyer's website. Try to contact eBuyer and verify the spec.

Thanks for that Kommunist, 280*234 does seem very bad indeed!

800x600 on a 7" screen?????

The Gadget Show reviewed a few of these and decided they were all fairly poor. I love the idea, but will wait until they get better.

Some of the digital photo frames out there are excellent although you will have to pay to get a decent one. They look best when wall mounted but poor battery life means you have to use a mains adaptor with the cable hanging from the frame - not a good look.

As they're gaining in popularity very quickly you should wait for a few months until prices come down and overall quality improves. No point displaying your favourite shots if the digiphoto frame screen can't do them justice.

Seen at its runs in 16:9 ratio 800x600 would look odd

I got my wife one of these for Christmas:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Linx-Resolution-Digital-Photo-Frame/dp/B000K695LO/sr=8-2/qid=1168954417/ref=pd_ka_2/203-2458052-8539938?ie=UTF8&s=electronics

The resolution on it is 720x480 and the picture quality is bright and has superb detail. I was sceptical buying it but am impressed.

To put it into perspective that is almost exactly the same verticle pixels that are active on an NTSC TV picture which our American friends etc. have happily been watching for years on sizes up to 52"+.

To make a sweeping statement about anything less than 800x600 etc. etc. being no good is misleading. On an 8" (diagonally measured) screen my 720x480 resolution is more than enough.

Also don't forget quidco, a massive 1.5%. ;)

And thanks all for voting hot, my first ever fornt page article.

Yeah!!

Am confused. Which frame has this resolution. eBuyer or Amazon ?

The price has dropped slightly to £42.99 inc VAT now. Add the cheapest P&P for 3 working day delivery on top and it comes out at £48.04.

For today this is back down to £34.99 plus postage, which makes it £40.52 inc postage (note postage is free if the total is over £49.99).

I have bought this and it works pretty well - I trimmed the photos to 16:9, and 480x234 using the "Image Cropper by Paul Marshall" version 0.92.
