Thats a bit like saying someone who owns a chip fryer doesnt know how to fry chips properly!
or someone who owns a steamer doesnt know how to steam properly!

Its a gadget to make life easier... like a hoover instead of a dustpan and brush or a washing machine instead of a tub of water!

And cooked in a fair trade saucepan
#17
This is eggs-actly what I was looking for!
#18
I might have to shell out for one of those
#19
I have one too. My wife prefers the microwave version, but I'm a techy (sorry!) and I like it. You can do other things like make coffee put the toast on and so on and not forget about the eggs in a pan coming out like a stone.
One word of warning - the timer dials are of poor quality so it is worth checking if you are sad as me about having one. You know what they say about putting all your eggs in one basket. (sorry again!)

Not everyone's circumstances allow them to have a hob, let alone running water.

These are extremely popular in hotel rooms for example.

If it wasn't for these gimmics this site would close.

To be eggsact, I do agree with you but not regarding a rice cooker. A rice cooker is another essential to add to the list
Fridge - my father thought food was better from the larder.
Microwave - 'roast the mouth off you' or give you food poisoning.
Dishwasher - tea tasted different.
Washing machine - destroyed the clothes

Not if you cook them the delia way, they come out perfect each time ;-)
#35
Is this like the failed version on Dragon's Den?!
#36
Got one of these last time round. Think they`re a great hassle free way to boil eggs. I would use mine a lot for a quick egg muffin in the mornings.
