Horrible place. It's basically Spanish Blackpool. I talk from experience, having been last year.

Read the reviews of the hotel and the placce before you book.

I can't agree more, it's tacky central, was the worst holiday I've ever been on, the majority of people on our hotel were mugged at knife point or had rooms burgled, not to mention pouring monsoon weather and nasty kitty litter beach :(

That photo isn't at all realistic, it's not real sand, and every establishment is like Blackpool, just tacky. Plus every single meal I had out in diff restaurants was jut awful, and I'm by no means a fussy eater!

Can anyone recommend a nice spanish coastal resort where im not going to get chips and strongbow with everything.

Something with loads of nice tapas and seafood restaurants which is family friendly and tollerant of non spanish speaking english?

you would be better off going to Tossa de Mar just 10miles up north, that's were Spanish people go.... :)
Can't agree more - Lloret is very tacky

SALOU,Costa Dorada is quite nice, on a port so has loads of lush fresh seafood restaurants, shopping. But all the night clubs can make it a busy place at night!

most spanish mainland coastal resorts are pretty tacky from my experience. The islands are much better and the people infinitely more friendly. Dunno what it is, but the spanish people on the mainland are very miserable and make you feel most unwelcome.

If you must go to the mainland, then I would suggest fuengirola on the costa del sol or Nerja
