Looking at the latest holiday deals and i have come across an absolute cracker on thomas cook website! Perfect for anyone looking for a nice bit of sun before we all hibernate.

Also includes luggage and resort service which is always nice extras considering the price!

London gatwick to corfu - 5th september to 13th september 2016!

CLUB 18-30 so only available to anyone aged 17-35 years of age
- futura

The upto 35 rule is on there t&c but in reality no one cares. loads of the older generation go on these holidays.
- BigBuds

May have been the case in the past but Club 18-30 are now enforcing the 17-35 rule and cancelling any bookings that don't comply. Just don't want anyone to get caught out

Teacher here, every time I see a holiday deal I get a little excited and then instantly have my hopes dashed. Oh well, maybe next year!

Does anyone go away abroad somewhere like this for the Christmas period? My girlfriend really wants to be out of the country over the Christmas period and I'm struggling for ideas.

It can get quite cold in Greece over the winter months...your best bet is the Canary Islands, only about 4 hours flight time

Have you been there at Christmas? Assuming the hotel rates go up due to the holiday period and it being so close to Europe?

Daily Fail reader by any chance? They seem to have it in for Thomas Cook, with made up stories almost every day. Maybe something to do with the substantial advertising deal they have with TUI!

We usually go to the canaries at Xmas, Fuerteventura is lovely, hot and breezy but even if it's cool it's still pleasant, we go to the quiet parts, Corralejo in the north(30 mins from airport and Jandia in the south, an hours transfer. Glad to get away from X as madness

"With made up stories". How do you know they were made up? Did you investigate? If they were made up then surely Thomas Cook would have sued. You aren't making up stories yourself are you. (_;)

I usually go away the week before Christmas to Albufeira in Portugal. It's still Tee and shorts weather although a light jacket at night to keep off the chill.

Well for example the couple who tried to claim compensation for food poisoning and laid the blame in a full page spread in the daily fail on a Thomas Cook hotel only for an independent doctor to later find he had a pre-existing medical condition that was the cause of his illness. Was there an apology in the paper? No!
Or another case of an issue with a hotel where the daily fail describes it as a "Thomas Cook" hotel even though they don't own the hotel and actually several other tour operators also use the hotel including Thomson. Did they mention Thomson? No. Clearly no company is free from blame but the daily fail is so corrupt it's untrue.

I cant seem to find any breaks cheap a the moment, for two weeks, around 23 to end till the end of aug, for one person. Anyone seen anything?
#39
Try Teletext holidays , phone and haggle . They don't like to loose sales so bump them down then start to ponder , then say what's your best price if I book now then ask for it to be rounded down .Get a basic price from another site first . I found if you are firm and a bit cheeky these are the best . They will send e- mail confirmation within mins .

So that's an example of a 'made up story' is it?! That's just an example only of a paper getting it wrong -- I'm guessing that they weren't the only paper to get it wrong. But if you can show that that isn't the case, and that the Mail did deliberately get it wrong, then you've got a case. Otherwise you're just talking s**t.
