WOW, bargain, i wonder what the hotel & food is like though?

There are a number of Spanish Airport strikes proposed for May. It could be difficult finding a time which is available and where you can miss a strike day either going out or coming back. Be careful. Voted cold.

As per the details in my post. I have checked the proposed dates for the strikes. These dates both out and coming back DO NOT fall on the proposed strike dates.

hotel is rather nice, quite a way from beach but a free bus is provided every 15 minutes but the food is BAD VERY BAD!

Proposed strike dates:

"Spanish airport strike dates announced. Worst case scenario.

20, 21, 24, 25 and 30 April.
2, 14, 15, 19 and 20 May
13, 23 and 30 June
1, 2, 3, 4, 15 and 31 July.
1, 15 and 31 August"

The dates you propose may not fall on strike days, but I wouldn't want to be schedulled to travel within a couple of days of a strike day. There will priobably be knock-on disruption with planes being in the wrong place and the like.

Also there is talk of taxi driver and public transport stiles at the same time. All in all, if the strikes go ahead, things could be pretty chaotic in Spain. .

Went on holiday there 2 years ago and it was horrific. It was shown on the TV programme holiday's from Hell programme under another hotel name. sorry ICE ICE COLD

Nice price for flights! Girona is a really nice city for a weekend away. Wouldn't bother with all-inclusive myself though. Shame about the strikes, makes everything that much more difficult.

Have a search on alpharooms.com or travelrepublic.com and you'll find more hotels for slightly more per person for all inclusive or lots of choice for self catering etc.

Can't work out if this is a hot deal or not. I know one thing though, Spain in April = NOT HOT.

I stayed at this hotel in 2004.

It's right on a main road and about a 15 minute walk to the beach. From what I can remember, the food really wasn't that great and there were tons of flies outside.

@ Rockfieldjohn, thank you for those dates.

No baggage? How much extra do they charge for that then?

@ Rockfieldjohn, thank you for those dates.

No problem. They're still negotiating, so keep checking cos they may resolve their problems.

not been to that hotel, but was in Santa Susanna last year.

was bored within a couple of days, had to take the train to different towns to keep ourselves amused. Barcalona was the best day out and well worth a visit.

Our hotel was also 3* all inclusive. the food was terrible and the entertainment was very poor.

Personnally, we wont be back to Santa Suzanna. Spend a bit more on a decent hotel in a better area.

i've been here twice on last minute cheap getaways through teletext holidays, both times i got the price for £106 for a week AI from scotland, for a cheap holl it's ok, i'm a vegie and lived off of the croissants toast, chips and ice cream, the alcohol is included in this price so well worth it if you plan on drinking a lot, the kids can get hotdogs and burgers all day from the bar and as the hotel is always full with it beeing cheap the kids will make new friends, basic entertainment every night, and a quizz in the disco hall downstairs too, there is a supermarket mini mall next door and we were in it daily, along the other way was Lidl's the walk into the the main area and beach is pleasant, we never even bothered with the free train/bus thing , this was a good enough break cos my hubby and i were not working at the time, but think now we would be willing to pay a lot more for a holiday (6 of us) but would consider this place again for a 2nd cheap holiday during the year,
