Just booked this deal for me and my fiancée. it's a top bargain. Here's the details:

Outbound Flight: 18-Jun-2011
OAI171 (Tor Air) London Gatwick to Kos Airport
Take off at 15:50, Landing at 22:00 (all times local)

Return Flight: 25-Jun-2011
OAI172 (Tor Air) Kos Airport London Gatwick
Take off at 23:00, Landing at 01:15 (all times local)

Staying at: Oasis Apartments Kos Town, Kos, Greece
Rating: 2 star
Room: 1 x Studio, Inland View, Self Catering

Price includes:
- Flights
- Accommodation
- Taxes and Duties
- Transfers
- Olympic Representatives

Not the best of the hotels, but at this price, I can't complain.

Extra charges:
Credit card: 2.25%
Debit card: £1 per transaction
Cheque: No charge

It was only after I booked that I found out that if the holiday is in the next 15 days, the tickets have to be collected from the airport, for which there is a charge of £12 per person :-(

edit: Quidco too... although it says 3% for Olympic Holidays on quidco site, it tracked at 5%

Voted hot, have a good time. :)

Hope this place isn't on the bar street or no sleep for you!
#3
Mixed reviews it seems Here

Good deal if you're willing to take the chance though.

Hotel Description:
Situated in a peaceful area away from the hustle & bustle, these studios are situated in quiet countryside on the outskirts of Kos Town. They are ideal for those who enjoy spending time relaxing around the swimming pool in a quiet, pleasant location
Hotel pictures - hardly the ritz is it, more like the pits!

Yeah, did have a look on tripadvisor, but as you say, mixed reviews... so i thought i'll take my chances... after all, it's not big bucks! at this price, if we get a enjoy the place... nothing like it! and if we end up hating the place, i'd atleast have the satisfaction that it wasn't a massive waster of cash and the price I paid was less than the cost of the flights alone!

looks a right dump in the middle of nowhere but hot for price
#9
your going to get mixed opinions, personally that is a cheap deal
#10
I've given heat! and hope it goes well!

Kos is an alright place and even Kos Town ain't that big!

Just don't buy your drinks anywhere near bar street as they charge treble the normal amount for a drink

awful place to go:(

Pretty sure my Dad went here a few years ago and considered paying to come home early. The bloke from a young couple spent the whole time swimming lengths in the pool because there was nothing nearby.

Still, for the money it's got to be ok for a week.

Not bad price just for the flights

alot of reviews are from people expecting too much anyway, as long as you have a place to sleep and have a roof aboove your hed then it'll be fine good price have a nice time

Been to Kos loads (I go to kefalos) I like seafood, sun, beach and a cold one in the evening - Kos town is bit livelier (rather too many "English" influence bars for my liking) The island is small enough that you can hire a car/bike and go exploring.
#16
Good deal, have a good time OP

great price! however the hotel is worrying. hope it's not too bad.

Depends on the type of holiday you enjoy I guess.

From a tripadvisor review:

"The complex has it's own taverna and shop and the prices are quite reasonable. This place caters primarily for the Brits, with two flights a week coming in from Manchester and one from Gatwick.
The bar closes at about three in the morning, so if you are wanting a beer and karaoke party time, then this is the place. If you wanted a quiet time, sampling the Greek way of life, then stay away. The staff are friendly and if I were a 20 something and single, I probably would have enjoyed it more. The taverna menu is geared around what typical 'Brits abroad' want - pizza, burgers, hot dogs and chicken nuggets."

Personally, thats holiday hell for me.

But at this price, it's a bargain (almost) no matter what it's like! So heat from me.

Have a good one! :)

I went and stayed at this exact hotel about 5 years ago for a week with a few friends so mini review below:

The hotel is literally in the middle of nowhere with the nearest beach about a 15 min drive away. It is the most basic there is with no ceiling fans to cool you down in the blazing heat (well there wasn’t when I was there 5 years ago) as well as plenty of mosquitoes during the night. Felt like I was in a cave at night!

As everything was so far away we ended up hiring scooters for the week from a scoter hire shop in town which was great fun as we were not going to pay for expensive taxi rides to the beach and town everyday. The Island is beautiful with plenty of nice beaches and restaurants and we all had a great time however the hotel was the worst aspect of the holiday.

Just what I was going to say.
I've been to Kos Town a few times. Had some fun drunken nights in the bars of Kos Town (especially West Bar) but also been to some amazing beaches and ate some great local food around the island.

Kardamena is best avoided though.

We just got back thank the lord when we got showed our room it was filthy there was a pubic hair on my bed and toothpaste all up the sink. No air con one small window and a thin door which goes onto the next apartment. We had no sleep due to being put next door to young lads who decided to bring girls back for a bit and unlucky for us we could here the lot not what you want at 4am. It gets better i was having a relaxing dip in the kids pool as the young ones had taken over the big pool i nearly died when i noticed there was a poo in the water i had to get kevin to get it out. Dont expect the cleaners to clean dont expect to get much sleep and as advertised in our broucher it states there is 25 appartments we counted over 60 its too noisy too dirty just a hell hole i would not go back there if you payed me and as for Kos itself people are lovely but not much there.

* Advice: save your money dont go you will need to have another holiday to get over this one
* Board Basis:Room Only
* Tour Operator:Olympic Holidays

Watch out for the poo in the pool!

Kos is only about 4 miles across North-South. have stayed at Tingaki a few years ago and there's a great beach there. Think Kos Town is more 'industrial' .... well, it has a port anyway :/

You should be able to pick up a hire car / scooters reasonably cheap if you need to get away from the apartments at all. (do they have a pool?)

edit: just read the above ^ guessing they do have a pool then.

hire a car (avoid scooter .and quadbikes)
travel the island, think of the hotel as a abase only not "your holiday" visit as much as you can and youll have a good time
go to the welcome meeting to meet your rep and find out a bit about the island, if there are any room problems you can ask them to help sort them if the hotel have problems with staff.
dont forget quidco too !

lol

Another snippet from one of the tripadvisor reviews:

"we had damp coming through from the so called shower room the filth in the bathroom was bad damp marks everywhere filthy tiles on wall and floor we had blood stained towels with holes"

So at least the bloodstained towel (another review mentioned the same thing!) comes with free holes! :D

kos is awesome.. grab a little jimny for 30 euros a day.. great little car.. there is a really nice, small thermal spa at the end of the island. people are friendly local food is fantastic. Eat, sleep and **** at the hotel and spend the rest of the time exploring. If you are looking for a poolside holiday then this is probably best avoided.

I did forget to mention that... I did go through quidco, and although it says 3% for package holidays, it tracked at 5%

That's the plan mate... be out and about all day... beaches and bars... just get back to the hotel and ****, eat and sleep!!!

For £100 Rubies I don't care if I sleep in a bin, that's a bargain, it costs me more to get into London :)

Hi the bus stopped here on our transfer a few years ago I have to admit I was worried when the bus pulled up in case it was our apartments. It is in the middle of nowhere with nothing around it apart from dusty fields. You will have to get a car cos it will be expensive on taxis if you are planning to go into town or any other bar. dont hire quad bike unless you want to end up in hospital been there seen it done it, but if you do hire a quad there is an excellent old military base in the hills over looking the sea its about two miles from the main road strip has the full base and buildings and bunkers and its great for quad bike racing but be warned the hospital isnt that good and dont give them your passport when you hire anything that way you can give them a false hotel and still get out the country without paying the £700 they chase your for after you have twisted the bike frame after tipping it upside down :-)

I love the Greek Islands - didn't enjoy the mainland last year - think they were all a bit miserable over being bankrupt !!

I always trust TripAdvisor reviews as long as you filter out the obvious entries by the owners/managers of the resort ;)

Great Place -kos- and great price!!! enjoy,

my fiancée saw this forum and slagging off of the hotel... she's scared now!!! i'm trying to reassure her that only one or two comments are from peeople who have actually been to the place (and they dont complain about much other than the remote location)... the key is to keep the expectations low... and you never know, we might have the best holiday ever!!!
