Seems to be a small mistake.

The Delivery & Case offer is due to end at midnight I think.

But the next offer save £70 has become active early.

Meaning you can claim all three.

It shows when you add an item to the basket, then click on the two save options at the bottom.

Delivery is automatically free, but does not show until later in the process.

Nice find!

Some good Vostro systems there - great value for money!

Pity I recently got a Dell, otherwise I definitely would have taken advantage of this. Heat added.

That’s not a particularly good deal as it only has FreeDos rather than Windows. I’ve seen a lot of 2GHz dual-core, 2GB, 160GB+, Vista Premium, DVD+- systems for £150 delivered in the past. Optiplex are Business machines and over priced really.

There's some duffers in there!

There's some duffers in there!

Even with free shipping and £50+ off most of the systems in there are usually over priced I think. But there are enough good ones to make it worth hunting down a bargain as with perseverance you’ll usually get one.

Expired not that I'm sad or anything.

Expired not that I'm sad or anything.

It’s not expired but only valid for certain systems: Latitudes are exempt and possibly Dimensions; it’s working fine for Inspiron laptops though.

Personally yes I would prefer to build the PC my self as I know what's gone in it. Yes on face value many of the Dell machines look great deals but you don't know what components they are using like power supply or motherboard being the main one and who wants Vista I would rather stick with XP thanks. Im not anti Dell but people do tend to presume dell make the best computers.

Also this CPU us now out of date the AMD Phenom X4 beats it hands down and its cheaper see here and here.
#14
Not as good as I thought, the cheapest is going for £379 and that's excluding VAT! Bit of a con i say....may find a better spec one for cheaper, but also remember, these are effectively refurbished right?

Should I buy this? Is it a studio laptop? I'm not sure what battery it is though, how can I check?

Price is £460 after discount, thanks!

Free case offer has now ended.
#17
Missed out on the free case but got a top spec £80 cheaper than I would have paid on the main site, so I'm happy:-D

It is all as-new, isn't it?
#18
Grabbed a XPS m1330 early this morning. Voted hot

Even without free laptop case the deal is worth

Thanks OP
#19
they are all returned laptops right?

why expired, its still hot

they are all returned laptops right?

The vast majority have been returned within the 7 day period and are typically 99% plus in terms of their physical condition. They have the O/S reinstalled and all the accessories are new in sealed packaging.
#21
I just gave Dell a call, as I had a problem with buying the system. According to them they have some technical issue they will fix soon. So anyone wondering why after putting all the credit card details and proceeding to purchase things go wrong and the cart suddenly becomes emprty - this is their fault.
#22
one of the dell outlet questions

Q4. Will the product(s) be used in connection with weapons of mass destruction, i.e. nuclear applications, missile technology, or chemical or biological weapons purposes?
Yes No

what a stupid question...... lol

I placed an order for a Dell laptop on the Outlet site a couple of days ago. Does anyone how I can cancel the order. It's not been dispatched yet.

It should be fine; I’ve done it in the past. Phone the Outlet Sales team directly though.

Sounds good, the screen should be great with the LED option.

You won't be able to move a 17" laptop very far but great as a desktop replacement.

Edit just priced that machine on the normal site and came to £729! but you know Dell you can never get the same price twice!

0844 444 5219 - is this the Outlet Sales team?

My only reason to cancel is this new £70 discount deal. Instead of cancelling, do you think it's worth asking them if they can apply the £70 discount? Has anyone tried this before with success?

The number on the Outlet website is 0870 907 5219. You need to speak directly to the Outlet sales team as the general customer services don’t seem to have access to the Outlet orders until they’ve been fully processed.

I can’t really advise you on that as every situation is different. I don’t see why you can’t cancel it but it would obviously be to their discretion to give you the discount.
They aren’t open until Monday now so I’d be tempted to look for a better deal over the weekend and if you see one just go for it. Then phone them on Monday to cancel the other one.
If you’ve only had the initial confirmation email I can’t see that they wouldn’t cancel it.

anyone got order process / confirmation message ? I just got an automated order conrfirmation message, but nothing after that!

I ordered my m1330 through the outlet...word is advise all outlet machine are increased in price by about £50 before these discounts happen. I was chatting to one of the outlet guys about trying to get the extra discount after they screwed up my order but he said it would work out just as cheap without it due to this... Whats specs you get with the m1330 suniil?

i think you forgot that i mentioned to beat this within £220 :D
not many programmes utilise quad core, and by the time they do, this phenom will be rubbish
and vista is better than XP due to dx10 gaming, and it looks nicer :D

O and they are update at least once a day

They change frequently seemingly from hour to hour and certainly much more often than once a day as someone suggested. Also stock changes from minute to minute as stuff is removed from peoples’ baskets.

word of advise all outlet machine are increased in price by about £50 before these discounts happen.

Others have suggested this but from my experience it’s clearly not true. I’ve bought a number of dual core desktops with 1 or 2GB RAM, 160 or 250GB HDD, DVD Burners, Vista Basic or Premium and sometimes a VGA card for £110 to £130 delivered and I’ve never seen them that cheap without the discount.
You can get some good deals without the discount but just with free postage but they are much harder to find and still tend to cost more.

Bit of surprise, until yesterday the service tag info was available online, but it says not available at the moment. But from memory (original screen grab is at office desktop), this is the config I ordered for £541
