Might get one though I love the lack of side bezel.

Was £250 only a couple of months ago I think.

To everyone voting this cold, care to point out a cheaper deal for this phone?

Waited ten hours and excitedly returned thinking I might be deal of the day...

Surprised at lack of heat.

Good deal...and yes it should have been this price at launch. It's a fantastic-looking phone but as OP says battery not so good and a bit sluggish. But hopefully these flaws can be improved with updates. I'm off to buy the green one. Thanks to OP.

Got the phone now and it's actually very speedy...little or no lag in apps opening etc. And it really does look stunning. The screen is virtually edge-to-edge, which makes holding it in one hand easier. Early days, but the battery does seem to drain pretty quickly, although I've been downloading apps and playing with it a lot. Still doubt Sony's claims of two-days battery life, but we'll see.

what's the camera like?

what's the camera like?

Main camera seem ok in good light. Nowhere near the best, but ok. Very grainy in low light. On the other hand, the front selfie camera seems to produce good results all the time. It's also good to have a quick start camera button on the side of the phone. Opens the camera very quickly.

got this phone a few weeks ago.
screen and design is impressive. speed is remarkably fast, much better than I expected and is not shown up by phones 3x this price. I can highly recommend the XA and at this price a steal, so far battery life has been as good as anything else I've had.

probably the best looking phone in its class, don't know why people vote cold, it's quite fast and had quad core processor, with 2gb ram the software has been optimised to high standard. This phone is speedy in its performance, Sony have certain apps which clean the cache automatically, keeping it running good.

Didn't need a new phone, but got one anyway.

Really impressed so far, the one thing I haven't been able to test is the battery, but it's a great design and seems pretty slick performance wise (and has the great fm radio found in other Sony's). Liking it a lot so far, and unlike many phones will slip into my work shirt.

Yes Sony seems to be the only one keeping that fm radio feature

I've had a z3 compact for almost 2 years best phone I've used sold it yesterday, and now brought a z5 in gold. Performance wise the z5 is rapid but not to the extent that I had change to a z5. Sony make good phones whatever class they are they normally the best in there class. On my z3 I had the Android version6 almost 2 years since kitkat was installed that's good support. This e5 will ok it's designed at a the price point, it will do job and you should get support to, unlike all the chepo Chinese phones on here that get overrated. It has 2 year warranty to.
