At my local Focus the Focus standard colour emulsion is 70% off

This should be nationwide as they had printed out the posters.

Matt and Silk,

It was £3.89 for 2.5l or 5.89 for 5l, Best to buy the bigger ones if needed but they are not in all colours.

My local store is Hove, It still says 50% off online but is definately 70%

Also white non drip gloss half price £5.49 for 2.5l, and small tins of wood undercoat for £2.99

Thanks Nat :)

Double the price as you'll need twice as many coats, and then factor in the extra time needed to paint those coats.

Then go and buy Dulux.

I've used this stuff recently and it was pretty good. Easy to apply and good coverage.

NOT TRUE!!!

this isnt value crappy thin paint it is pretty good stuff.

are you talking from experience or just trying to justify why you spent £15 on the same size pot of dulux.

i pained my freshly plastered lounge with this stuff.

1 coat of watered down value white paint to soak into the plaster and 2 coats of yellow focus paint, it has fully covered and is not patchy at all.

18 months on and still looks good. If you are just freshening up an existing colour am sure even 1 coat would do it.

hot deal, i may pop out and get some ready for when i do hall landing and stairs in spring. (if you are doing that, just bear in mind, get as much paint as you think you need +1 can.

just incase the batch numbers change, and at this price it doesnt matter if you pass the deadline date for a refund, a spare can will do for patching up!.

Totally agree!

Nahhhh, used this paint quite a few times and no different to any other paint. Didnt need loads of paint or anything. Dulux is very much overpriced

Well I beg to differ. Cheaper paints ALWAYS require more coats than the best quality ones, and if you have a different colour to get rid of they can be a nightmare.

Use Dulux, put 2 coats on, 3 for a really good finish and enjoy a job well done.

I got 6 of these for free with your home magazine, they were £1.99 for mag, voted hot anyway.

Wickes have their Master range at 70% off at the moment and the washable emulsion is £4.99 for 2.5litres.
A good paint by all accounts and if you are lucky the onecoat is available is certain colours.

It's better value than the Focus paint as the washable stuff is normally about £15 for 2.5l.

I must say that I have always been more than happy with focus paint. I have had lots of different shades and they have all been lovely. You get good coverage as well I've found! I have just been and bought a couple of cans in neutral shades, off white and a creamy white. Just the job for freshening everything up for spring!

I did exactly the same and found that the quality was surprisingly good, maybe not quite Dulux standard but not far off

Got 6 off 2.5L cans for £3.88 each today in Corby. Got loads left. Marked up at £6.99 but with "Up to 70% off" banners above.

Thanks - used before and pretty good, just bought 3 in Leamington Spa, a fair bit left of 2.5L on various end-caps but mainly magnolia (fine by me as I wanted magnolia!). Will keep one as spare for inevitable touch-up jobs (kids!) over the years ahead - nice find, thanks again. Didn't realise the gloss on same shelf was reduced as well (not very clear what the prices were in the store) - may have to go back in the morning!

do a lot of painting and i think this is the worst paint i have ever used. Needs too many coats and even when mixed sometimes little black streaks occur. Stick to wickes, much better.

I picked up 4 pots today for just over £15 in the Bishop Auckland branch, well happy with that.
