People do realise that this is a 110v drill and will need a transformer (min of £50) for it to work on a 240v house supply?

I've had a 240v version of this for years now. Must be good because it has been abused and abused but still works perfectly.

2 different links being shown in this thread, looks like both 240v and 110v available instore.

wickes stuff always seems good value, so heat added

Bought one yesterday £30 it is a 110volt one,But a real bargain and 5 years warranty too.The 240 volts are not £30 at least not in my local Wickes.

I got this one a fortnight ago;

http://www.screwfix.com/prods/58494/Power-Tools/SDS-Drills/Direct-Power-BS26S3-5kg-SDS-Plus-Drill

Ten pounds more expensive, but 5kg impact force makes it very useful.

I think a lot of Wickes stuff is rebranded Draper so should be pretty allright.

This babe reduced from £79 to £50 is the one I use.

1250W

6KG is like a road breaker by comparison.

3 KG is not much more than my hammer drill isn't it?

It's a 230v piece of kit.

Just got my Dad to go to the one down the road from him.

He said that they had problems trying to find one, but did. It's covered in dust, so must be old, old stock.

Contacted the Lincoln store. They said they were 230V as per the catalogue but are obsolete so when they are gone they are gone. All gone in Lincoln.

Alternative - http://www.screwfix.com/prods/58494/Power-Tools/SDS-Drills/Direct-Power-BS26S3-5kg-SDS-Plus-Drill

This one comes with some bits and a chisel. Costs £10 more but you will pay more than that to buy the bits to use with the Wickes one. The Screwfix one also has rotation stop so you can use it to chisel with.
