smokin' deal, thanks!

8mb cache, what that gonna be like?

Delivery = £6.95, bringing price to just shy of £60 delivered. Excellent price in terms of £/gb but not amongst the fastest 320gb/platter drives at the moment. My money would be on either the WD or the Samsung 640gb, both available for around £58 delivered from Ebuyer/Scan etc

Hot is the right word, ie how this will run! I would avoid this china made Seagtaes now. The last one i got was loud, hot and noisy. 8meg cache on a 750gb is average, need at least 16 fromm 500gb onwards.

This is a good deal however is cheaper http://scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=587941 with free delivery as standard delivery at Aria is £8.17 bringing the total to £60.99 which is almost £10 than what the title states. Also worth noting this drive does not have native command queueing.

8Mb cache is a bit light can't fault the storage though, could use as raid backup drive so hot

The words nail and head spring to mind!

Any good USB 2.0 enclosure for it?

The price quoted is EXCLUDING VAT

£62.22 inc vat, so £71~ including vat and del.

Not so much of a bargain when a 1TB isn't much more.
#10
Um.. here it says:

£52.95+VAT+Delivery

So... just oveer £70 delivered.

Showing up as £62.22 BEFORE delivery for me?

Haha, us 3 all posted at the exact same time about the exact same thing.

arrgh! can't believe i hit hot before i read the comments above - very irritated, hate people misleading others!

OP - can you PLEASE edit the price for the deal please?
#13
I have expired and spammed the post. Apologies OP but I don't think it's morally correct to post a 'very clearly' misleading deal.

Bit of an over reaction don’t you think?

Considering it WAS listed for £52.82 it WAS a hot deal, like everything nothings stays around for long :whistling:

I wasn't the only one who felt it was a deal that was being mis-quoted as hotter than it was. :whistling:
