I appreciate not everyone has the hexus free delivery for scan but this is a great deal for those who have.

Before anyone asks - No, this will not fit a PS3!

*****The Aria one mentioned by Tristian below is a different drive! - Compare the specs!*****

Just bought one from Aria and it's a nice drive! £6.95 postage from them but still works out cheaper than this deal. Sorry!

The Aria one is a different drive! It is an OEM drive with 8mb cache. The one I posted is a retail version with 16mb cache.

So compared with the aria drive you are getting the full retail package and warranty and 16mb cache all for £7.11 more.

Have you ever tried returning an OEM drive? I have and it's not easy!

I'm looking for one with 32MB cache. Seen many Samsung SpointPoint deals, heard complains about them which put me off. My friend have Samsung and all data got erased out of no where, screen went blank and it came back on, with nothing on the hard disk left.

This looks fine, voted hot

fair play he's right the original is not 32mb cache and it's retail so the original deal is pretty good!
does anyone have one of these drives yet and run it under the vista performance test? I'm curious as to what score they get as i've been looking for a 5.9 rated one.

Heat added and thanks, I've been after a 750 with larger cache. Wary of the Samsung for reasons already posted. Didn't Scan used to be on Quidco btw?

Hi,you can read about 7200.10 500GIG drives being very Noisy as well(750GIG same?).
Lots of both these & Samsung etc get sold,so your sure to read of probs i would imagine(especially if deals are posted on here).
Wonder how many posts to read,if peeps with no probs at all, posted all over the web?

Cheers BOB

Unless it's made from solid platinum - with diamond trims - i guess so :)

I missed this deal unfortunately - is it something that Scan discounts every so often? TIA
