these normally cost £2.50-3.20
so this is very cheap.

FWIW, for Leffe lovers, Aldi has a fantastic weiss bier for £1/bottle (500ml I think). Can't remember the name, but it comes in yellow boxes with a yellow label. Wouldn't bother trying to get it in the Blackwater, Hampshire store though as I tend to buy up as many boxes as I can :)

This is truly a great tasting beer, and at that price. Last one to raise their blood pressure beyond the recommended level by the NHS is a loser! If only they did the Brun at that price as well.

It's called Schofferhofer Hefeweizen.
Great beer, they sell it in Oddbins for £1.49, so £1 a bottle is great value.

That's the one - good to know they have it elsewhere - if Aldi stop doing it I know where to go. Best beer I've drunk outside Bayern.

Its brewed and imported from belgium, so yes it should do, maybe its tastes even better as there's no chance of dodgy pipes.

Great deal - scorching!

Shame there's no Netto up here.

No it does not taste as good, I used to get this on tap in Holland just beside the Belgium border and bought this last week thinking it would taste as good, its nice but not as nice as it was on tap.

It does taste as good. I have Leffe on draught at home and I think the bottles are just as good. Had it in bottles and on draught many times in Belgium too. On draught its not quite as fizzy but all draught beers are like that. I wouldnt say its a positive or negative.

Your mind is playing tricks on you, the bottled stuff is how its intended to taste, the stuff from barrels can be affected pipes pumps etc

My mind isnt playing tricks on me.

Just because its in a bottle does not mean that it tastes any better than the stuff you buy in the pub BTW in fact it will likely taste worse, ever taste a pint of guinness or a bottle of harp on mainland Europe? does it taste the same as the stuff you get in Dublin?

I went to Netto to try and get this (I remember when I went in that store ONCE and said NEVER AGAIN!) ... I sieved through the jumble, and couldn't find it at all.. very disappointed, I asked a store attendant, after trying to explain what it was for ages he said he'd never heard of it .

Yea, same with me. Never heard of the beer. It was fun trying to describe the bottle and repeating the name. How about some White Lightning he suguested, it also comes in a big bottle. I.m sure he thought I was a poncy beer snob.

But I likes me Belgiam beer.
