I'd recommend the XFX 650W over this as this only has 2 PCI-E cables and is only rated 80Plus as opposed to the XFX unit with 80Plus Bronze.

Wrong, it has 4 pci-e connectors, and bronze or no bronze doesn't make difference, at all.

Looks like a great deal for the price. Hot if you are building your own system soon.

i got the modular one of these for £68 from scan a while ago, while 'only' 650 watts is it more than enough power for most.

Not sure if to buy this or the XFX. I've heard XFX are rebranded seasonics so probably a better brand?

I'd go with this one over both the XFX and CoolerMaster, not on offer as such but it's not long been released and the price will go up, seems to be about £10 more elsewhere (£67 on Ebuyer).

I'd go for the XFX and Coolermaster over that anyday. Unless it's the HX or TX of Corsairs, they're not THAT good.

The CoolerMasters are known for being, well lets say not quiet and for not being anything special, the XFX and Corsair are a grade above the CM. Granted the GS aren't as good as the HX or TX, but they wouldn't be this price if they were. By all means take the XFX over the Corsair, there may not be much in it either way, but to put the CM in the same category is misleading.

I guess I've thought too highly of the CM, I stand corrected.

Why? The Corsair Gaming Series are based on Channel Well designs, while they are good, a Seasonic designed offered by the XFX will be a lot better.

While it is based on Seasonic, it's based on an older model and that particular seasonic did not have great reviews regarding long term reliability. Also the XFX runs hotter than the original seasonic one, due to XFX's fan being different and not as good.

Just installed the XFX 650W and it seems to be a tad bit more efficient than my Corsair TX750W as it uses 375W as opposed to 385W on load with the same setup. Although this could just be more to do with variability than actual power draw?

Both are pretty silent though as I can't hear them over the case/graphics/CPU fan so I can't compare the noise from the two.
