Good idea but it looks very bulky.

What - 5x2x0.5 inches ? - not that big.
Doesn't say what AVI format, but they do say they recommend a 64GB SD card - so what does that tell you ?

64GB SD Card is the maximum capacity, not the recommendation. Also, the description says:Video Format: AVI 30fps 1280x720,720x480,640x480. so on that spec, you can say it's 720p

H.264 (MPEG-4) according to other suppliers?

A reversing camera would be handy but I can't think of a use for this worth 30 quid.

Maybe I'm wrong but thats the camera size then you add the holder which makes its bulky in my opinion.

It has a CMOS lens, they are not accurate with colour. Much prefer CCD lens.

I assume that Vegeta means that it has a CMOS sensor and that they much prefer a CCD sensor?

Staged road accidents. Someone pulls out at a junction in front of you then hits the brakes, you run into the back of them. 4 or 5 people in the vehicle will then claim for all sorts of injuries on your insurance.

If it didn't obliterate the phone battery, I'd record it on my phone. This is a must have for LGV or LPV drivers.

Just to point out, afaik all of the ones with an HDMI port don't actually work via HDMI, thus why the "newer" versions have a sticker over the socket.
