The Mains one is 1Ah and the cigarette lighter charger is 500mAh

I tried to post a link to one on eBay that is only £1.50 and does 1Ah charging from the cigarette lighter but it wouldn't let me.

So check ebay out if you want a 1Ah charger, £1.50 delivered (well 99p and 49p delivery so 1.48..)

NOOOOOOOO! Please dont bother buying from ebay, they are very sloppily soldered by hand and in a big rush by the looks. I bought one from ebay and it made a large bang, there was a flash of electricity which i am thankful didn't electrocute me and smoke came out of the think. Im sure this would of fried anything i had plugged into it.

If you want to risk burning your house down for the sake of some shiny pennys be my guest.

i'm pretty sure the company would be shut down if that happened. There are these things called CE marks - make sure u have one on ANYTHING you buy. its the customer's responsibility to check.

CE marks can be stamped on anything including counterfit and sub standard goods.

Hells bells. Don't try and save pennies for the
risk of electrocution, it's not worth it. Serious.

Erm... Companies dont always get shut down for inferior goods... when I was a younger man setting up home with very few pennies, I bought various electrical tools from Argos of the "Challlenge" variety... as time went by each one has self destructed in front of my eyes (complete with the smell of burning plastic and the visual effects of smoke/fumes). I have learnt from this that "you get what you pay for", and as someone a little older now with a few more pennies to spare (i.e. more freedom to choose better quality), I would always set my budget a little higher than products like those I bought from Argos....
