Was looking for a universal Android/iOS compatible Bluetooth keyboard and noticed this, seems good enough for the price, if anyone has a better alternative let me know.

Blurb as follows:

This Bluetooth wireless keyboard designed for your Apple iPad or iPhone makes typing, texting, writing E-mails, chatting, Web browsing, and gaming easier than ever! The keyboard features a sleek, thin enclosure with low-profile keys that provide a crisp, responsive feel and an ultra compact design that fits on even the most crowded desk. It is half way between a true mini-keyboard and a full sized one so it gives you the best of both, and it portable design can be used for travel, school, or any other working environment with a Bluetooth enabled tablet, Smartphone, PC, iPhone (os 4.0 or upper) and iPad etc.

- Use MTK Chipset with wireless Bluetooth 3.0 interface
- Features a comfortable, ergonomic design with 78 keys
- The intelligent power source management system helps you conserve battery power for when you really need it, battery life is longer compared similar products by 50%
- Backwards compatible with all previous version of Bluetooth

This keyboard also supports Bluetooth 3.0 which is faster than previous versions of bluetooth. If you have a Bluetooth 3.0 compatible device or adapter then you will see much faster response times and transfer rates but it is backwards compatible with all previous versions of bluetooth.

The keyboard is powered by two AAA batteries and the battery life is excellent. The keyboard goes into power saving mode as soon as it's not being used and comes back on as soon as a key is pressed.

Bluetooth: Version 3.0
Range of frequency: 2.4G
Operating voltage: DC 3.7V
Remote control distance: Up to 10m
Powered by: 2 x AAA batteries

Clever how it gets 3.7 volts from two 1.5V batteries!! oO

Thanks! This looks like a better deal for the same keyboard.
Bought. Worth a go for £13 before splashing out 5x more than that for an official apple one.

Not worth saving a pound but all this tat is made there anyway

The official apple BT keyboard is overkill for a crippled media consumption device.
There seems to be a USB cable with this (it's shown in one of the customer images); does anybody know if it will work via USB or what the cable is for?

I have an old G4 that I have to fire up from time to time and the old style keyboard takes some adjustment after having used a MacBook Pro for three years.
Looks like the exact same one for £9.60 again fulfilled by Amazon

bluetooth 3.0 better than 2.0 -so worth the extra 1.0 for speed and future proofing

Doesn't really matter.... unless you're typing faster than 2.1Mbit/s, in which case you'll need a sturdier keyboard Lt. Data.

In terms of a wireless bluetooth keyboard, I think you're better off going for the Anker...

Anker Keyboard
Or get a keyboard case for watever device you have. cost about £15-20 depending on device. one for my note 10.1 cost about £18 and ive seen ipad ones for less than £15. main benifit is as its also a case it is always with you and it doubles as a stand.
That aluminum or plastic?

Assuming plastic considering the price.
@badasschris What case is that?
yes, this is the same keyboard - I'm just posting so that people realize that.

I have it at home and it works ok. My main concern is that the ALT key and all F1, ... keys requires pressing FN + OPTION or FN + F1, so the Windows key combos get very convoluted. I wish I could remap it. Does anybody know a good tool for that?

Swedish seller, but thanks for your input weeks after it was posted, inevitably prices fall later in time.

Has anybody found one of these with the standard UK layout? ? ?

I have the wired version, which is great. The bluetooth version seems not to be UK layout.
