Alternatively look at this GetNet GN-531U Wireless N USB Adapter also, for £7.99. 70p more expensive but get excellent reviews on play.com. This Getnet dongle works out of box without any need of drivers on Windows 7 also.

benefits of play.com vs this one?
#5
This one is tiny the play.com one is the size of a pen drive, they both do the same thing otherwise
#6
hopefully this will work on my netbook.
i'm sick of the built0in adapter deciding it doesn't want to work any more.

You'll be lucky to get much more than 65Mbps with a 150 adapter unless you've got a router capable of channel bonding and two channels free in your area.

No the Play.com is also tiny, picture doesnt do justice..

Size of adapter = size of antenna. Keep that in mind when buying.
Laptops have two antennas on each side of the screen. Don't be surprised if signal strength drops to nothing when you go to another room.

bought this adapter, the signal is good from 3 rooms away however it sees the router as an access point and will not connect to the internet... hmm...

Just as an update, I think the device isn't compatible with Windows 7 64Bit. I am running it now on XP in work and its fine. Signal is just as good as the internal wifi card I have with an Ariel.
