As an owner of one of these , it is a great netbook. Its not a laptop so its not the most powerful but its a good size whilst still being portable. Vista does need to be un-installed and replaced with xp and an upgrade of memory comes in useful (about £15). You don't get any recovery disks with it but if you contact HP they will send you some xp recovery disks to install XP and although I'm not a techy, I managed it without any problems.

Doesn't like Windows media player very much so install Multi media classic for playing vids and install daemon tools for playing games from hardrive.

Scan did have this Vista version for £225 a while back so this is a good price (linux has been £189 at Ebuyer)

Keyboard is fab, speakers and screen are great and it looks fantastic. If portability is important than definitely consider this. Its let down by battery life (only lasts around 1.5 hours) compared to newer more expensive netbooks so if battery length is important think about something else (or buy a 6 cell battery).

Unfortunately people will vote this cold because you can get an Acer running linux for £50 less.........
