Seems an interesting game to me. Something possibly between C&C and minecraft (that is what I imagine :D ). Amazon is current cheapest place to pre-order if you have prime, if not Base is the second best place. Both will not take money on despatch. It is always possible other retailer start listing the game and the price war starts prior to release date, but until then I am keeping the fingers crossed, haha.

8-Bit Armies is Petroglyph's first game in the 8-Bit RTS series. It commemorates the first Command & Conquer games with its accessible gameplay mechanics while providing a fun and timeless art style that introduces new players to the genre. A unique console controller scheme makes it easier than ever to build bases and command large armies without complex button memorization.

The link to Minecraft would only really be the graphical style; in terms of gameplay, it's very much C&C.

Interesting to see this coming to consoles, but this seems rather pricey unless it's a particular nice "collector's" package. Were this another release at around the £15-£20 point that we're seeing from a few PC to console ports recently, I'd be very much up for double-dipping!

Yup, that is what I meant by referring to minecraft. Maybe I didn't express myself correctly. :) The game is currently listed by only a few retailers. What I always tend to do is to invite other retailers to list the game. I have done this with a couple of unknown games (This is the police was one that you can now buy for £9.99, although it was far cheaper when I first listed it) but anyway, this price is not what you are going to pay at the end, I promise. ;)

I remember interviewing some of the developers from Petroglyph a few years back... Glad to see them making more C&C type games, but it's a genre that unfortunately was unable to maintain my interest past Red Alert.

Agree with the comments about the price, I've played it on pc but this is a crazy price for what it is. I liked the mechanics but I really disliked the art style which I didn't think worked well, I really wish they'd gone for a more c&c style as the game plays that way anyway.

Price gouging. It'll be 15 quid a few weeks after release!
