from the Argos reviews
if i removed both shelfs you can fit a can stood up, it can hold about 20-25 cans ( i used strongbow none pint cans)

oO Ice-cold wine? Ok if you want 6C I might let you off, but you genuinely want to drink wine around zero centigrade? Might as well mix some vodka with welch's grape juice or something if you're going to do that...

It is a good deal, but if it is thermoelectric like I suspect, then it's going to be like the carlesburg draughmaster. This uses about £60 a year in electric, 3 times that of an average A rated fridge. Doesn't seem quite as good bargain if you take that into consideration.

I'd say 16 judging by looking at how It holds 8 bottles of wine and 2 cans stacked is just over in length terms of the wine bottle :P

intrigued to know what the power consumption is on this if anyone knows?

Damn hot deal it seems!

Perfect! Was my mum's 60th last week and couldn't think of what to get her.

The half-size fridge in my parents' new place is, obviously, pretty tiny and, well, my mum sure does love her wine...

Well Ok, I don't want to drink it 'ice cold', I want it to start very cold so getting warm would take longer :)

:(No stock anywhere near - drat!

I would have expected it to get slightly cooler than 8C, but still a good price (if you can find one).
Is this another of the usual Argos deals? (i.e. 7 in stock across the country)

(French) white wine and champagne is supposed to be drunk at 8-10C and reds around 14-18C. This fits that requirement perfectly.

For those people saying 'just stick it in the fridge', you're better off with a cocktail instead.

People in the UK typically drink white wine too cold and red wine too warm. Which is a waste of any decent wine.

Amen - so many wine "experts" on here looking for 3 bottles for a tenner to drink at the "right temperature" - what a load of pretentious fools. Drink red with chicken or white with steak, who cares??!! Drink it ice cold or microwaved till it starts to boil, if that's the way you like your wine, enjoy!

If we had this sort of amateur sneering about any other food or drink type we'd all be peeing ourselves laughing at these wannabee snobs.

p.s. I always let my Arctic roll sit and acclimatise for 4 minutes and 30 seconds prior to serving.

Yes, drinking cheap booze obviously takes priority over learning your own language.

Something like a Beaujolais with a chicken salad can be quite nice in late spring, you can even chill it a bit if you don't go below about 12 degrees :p (I'd struggle for a white with steak though to be honest)
