8 Duracell plus AA Batteries only £2.00! + SnH

Exactly as the title says, though i know there are cheaper batteries out there, or you can get more batteries for the same price. I have always found duracell are the best and most reliable long lasting batteries so at £2 i think this is a great deal!

snh is not too cheap but im buying quite a few packs and its not too bad if you buy more. For 10 packs (80 batteries) is only 3.50

For £9.95 I would expect more pleasure if I were to spend that much on something I stick up my bum :p

Great Deal

They have 8 X AAA for £1.99. That is cheap (IMO) at 25p each.

The bizarre thing is 4 X AAA are exactly the same price on the site!

Worth ordering a few if you are after the AA batteries as well.

Cheers,

Bunnster

regardless of whether it is good for the environment or not its still a good deal. Also recharging batteries all the time increases your carbon footprint? and unless you are a person that monitors every battery and unplugs them immediately when they are charged then they are just as bad for the environment!

Site dead for me

Deluded comment, you use energy re-charging (more than you think to re-charge batteries)

What the?!!

I must get myself some rechargeable batteries that charge from my generator in the back garden! Wow thank god for generators!

Luckily I am using the Internet on my recycled Cornflakes box which I turned into a Laptop thanks to Blue Peter!

there really are some pompus people out there today aren't there? Particularly those who think rechargables are better for the environment than disposables!

Right, well, if the government wants us to buy British then they would put taxes up on imports from China who use open cast coal mining and very cheap labour along with cheap shipping costs (Also coal, but also oil and natural gas) - or even if pressure were put on China to support Kyoto and subsequent agreements then that will also inherently put up their prices. So what do we do in the meantime as the consumer?

1) boycott these items and but british (even though it costs more)
2) buy from these cheap places, putting UK businesses in strain but equally informing the government that if we are serious about climate change as a country that we need to do more than put silly windmills up.

oh any by the way, if the batteries are from china then slowly we are draining their cheap energy and transporting across the world - thats got to be a good thing right cos eventually it will even up and they wont be as cheap and then maybe (if governments dont do anything in the meantime) then it will cost them more for their power too!

Believe me, Im happy for an argument about this any day of the week - but this is a deals forum and this is a good price - voted hot!
