Saw these in my local store (Caerphilly) this morning. Got to be a loss leader! Bizarrely they still had the 4 tins for £4 offer on as well. Read More

What"s the expiry date ?
#2
That was my first thought in the shop but my packs are 30/11/2013.

Seeing as how much tuna has gone up in price over the past year or so it's probably a good bet to buy it all and sell it as a commodity in a years time. Could replace the gold standard :o)

Gah. I picked up some no-drain tuna steak for 79p a tin in Home Bargains today and thought I was doing well.
What's up with tuna these days? It's not like there's a worldwide shortage or anything.

Not exactly true. Live tuna stocks are under pressure, in some places in the med tuna have virtually disappeared. There is also environmentalist pressure about how tuna are caught so that some forms of tuna fishing are now frowned upon, which no doubt adds to the costs.

Always seeing these fab asda offers on tuna advertised on here, but they NEVER have these offers on at any Asda store near me in Bolton, Bury or Farnworth!!!
#6
I rather buy John West Tuna - made a mistake buying Princess Tuna.
#7
Not in asda hellesden, norwich. Doessn't appear online either
#8
This deal has actually already been posted.
#9
Not in my local asda, or online. Appears some offers as of late are very localized.

DON'T BUY PRINCESS CANNED TUNA (they use large nets that captures all sorts of sea-life)

Buy line-caught tuna if you can afford it.

Yeah, seems John west are the bad guys when it come to tuna. I actually think Princes Tuna is my favourite. Nice and chunky!

Our local Morrisons is doing 8 cans of Princes Tuna chunks in oil or water for £3.79. Not up there with the Asda deal, but if you don't have an Asda handy, not bad.

Most of the tuna I buy my son eats. He prefers John West but after reading about their policy on sustainability - ie they don't give a toss - he can eat Princes and like it.

#18

As i've said before, there's never any consitancy in Asda offers nationwide, unless you can see it available for online grocery delivery. You may be lucky, but they win anyway by drawing you into the store. (_;)
