80 piece train set available from lidl as part of their wooden toy event.
To me, this is a better deal than the remote controlled trains that they have at 9.99, as my kids never got the hang of the remote, so were always using the buttons on the trains, and for the extra 5 you get all the track and accessories.

Last year this got good reviews.

Anyway, lidl blurb:

Sturdy, high-quality railway set that slots together for many creative building options
With self-propelled battery-powered train, including driver’s cab and forward/reverse drive function
Runners made from European beechwood
Max. track length (m): 4.2
80 Piece Set
Age recommendations:

3 - 8 years

From all the toys I have bought my kids, the wooden blocks and the wooden train set are the ones they play with the most. Good price for something that will last ages.
