Ordered Voted hot

That works out at £5.08 for the same as a 1300g tin (that's been £9 for 2 in most supermarkets).....bit more expensive but smaller tins perhaps better to give to children:-D
#5
Thanks for the info picked up a few bits heat and rep added.

Noticed this the other day, but you get 4kg of sweets for £15.68 (inc the delivery), supermarket deals of 2 for £9 works out at 5.2kg for £18, so an extra £2.32 for an extra 1.2kg of sweets, plus you can mix and match, on a plus, halfcost are pretty reliable (v.slow website tho!)

I think there really nice for christmas presents and I use half cost all the time. The parcels normally come in about 4-5 days but I expect they might slow down a bit now for xmas!

Mind u saying that ill probably eat a load at Christmas time as parents think i stave myself or something and put loads if chocs out etc

i can't get the website up i keep getting "500 internal server error".
#20
The page doesn't load

After waiting a painfully slow time for the pages to load, i managed to get some of these roses into my basket then had to register. The whole thing must have took around 20 minutes and when i finally got to the payment page, on the very last payment verification step i got the "internal server error". I checked with my abbey secure account and yep there was a payment secure recieipt for £15.68 to merchant Halfcost.co.uk (merchant shows as www.studio-outlet.co.uk).

However....when i went back to the halfcost website and clicked my online orders nothing is showing up!! I,ve just phoned them and apparently someone is going to phone me tomorrow so for now they have my payment and i,ve no order to show for it :(

I,ll wait and what they say tomorrow but i,m not optimistic :(

was going to order because the deal is good, but i give up, in this day age a website shouldnt be that slooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow

good deal and good luck to people that got them
#24
Website is slow whenever you go on it, but worse at weekends because of people using it more

I have spent the last 45 minutes or so trying to order this. The amount of separate data input screens makes an already slow site, a very painful experience. I am certain most of the information that is needed to place an order could be confined to two pages.

Now it's loading the final page, one click and its done. But there's still loads of time to check back on HUKD to discover user experiences. I hear from people that there is a server fault and while money has been taken from the bank account and the order has not been confirmed. Combine this with the likelihood that stock may well have run out, and my initial enthusiasm is now depleted.

It's a hot offer, but I don't think I'll risk giving them my money.

Sorry you lot are having problems with the slow page guys. I can honestly say I have put loads of orders in with them and never had a problem. There have been one or two occasions when they item I ordered has been out of stock but they simply replaced it with something smilar but of much more value!!!!

I recommend them!

I agree totally they done the same to me last month,i orderd 7 items they took payment for all of them and only sent 2 items, and one of those was a ridiculous alternative.Ordered a nike tracksuite for my daughter and they sent a plastic neckless as an alternative lol.The only good thing to come out of it was that i got a full refund although it was in 3 installments, and took about a week and 5 emails.

Lucky, they let me keep the one tin and refunded the amount, but I wouldn't have placed an order at all if it weren't for the chocolates, so I still lost out on the postage really.
#31
This is my 1st comment so apologies people, i have just orderd these oh yes you werent jokin the web site is so slow :giggle:
#32
Shouldn't be a problem for most but these have quite a short shelf life of March 08.
#33
really dodgy company i ordered about 20 items from them and they canceled them all and only dispatched 1 which was a £2.99 item and charged me full postage. and i never even recieved the 1 item in the end it was just never delivered.
#34
These chocolates are now coming up as out of stock
#35
Yes, just tried to order these but out of stock. Would just have made me fatter anyway.
#36
i dont think its a great deal anyway - i got them last time when they had the slightly out of date ones, and i ordered 5, recieved 5 and they were fine. but they were a bit cheaper, was around £11 inc delivery for 5. plug last time they were the 1KG tins, so these are even smaller.
#37
Cheaper at the Supermarkets.
#38
Hi,

Had a look at this deal and it is ok even tho supermarkets are doing two of the larger tines for £9. They are useful to give as gifts as sometimes a large tin is too much. So great idea. Also loved the site, I have never seen a £1 store on line before.
#39
Don't know how to take the expired title out, or even if I can/should, but these are currently back in stock. Strangely for the 5x800g bulk offer (£12.99) but out of stock for single tins?

Don't forget to use FF10 for 10% off :)
[Holiday Pirates]#40
Got mine today YUM YUM!!! They are really nice for gives, look more special coz they are not the usual big bilky budget tins lol
