Both valid arguments ... & both are both good & bad ..... :-)

OP .. it would kinda help everyone if you like stated 'AMAZON' in your Post Description, yeh... lol.
#5
some places charge loads to remove pins so if there is a few of you in the house with watches its worth it. some men have more watches then shoes (_;)
#6
Thanks for post, will come in very handy for many things, not just watches.

Deluxe, not sure about that? Worth about 3.80 certainly not the RRP. Our local market sells this tat for about the same price and at least you can see what you're getting.

Most people on here are looking to safe money, this will save £5:00 - £10:00 each time you want a watch strap adjusting at your local jewelers.

Flipping open a watch back that is not opened by twisting.

They're not meant for professionals opening a watch repair business. I they only work once you'll have saved money, even just changing a battery.

It's totally ridiculous in the extreme to claim an RRP of £20 for this kit, to say the quality is poor would be a gross understatement. Having said that these kits do indeed make the job of replacing watch batteries and altering links on straps so much the easier. I would say this price is about right if not marginally on the high side.

I have bought this twice now and its soooo cheap... that Blue thing breaks every time... its useless... not worth it imo, never buying again.

These are great just to use the case openers to change batteries. Their the sort of thing that you think you'll never want, then kick your self when that second hand stops.

I bought one if these kits and it is a bargain. I bought 2 Duracell watch batteries for a quid each. Total of less than 6 pounds which is what you get charged for having a battery changed at a jewellers or watch kiosk. I changed 2 batteries and removed a link out of another watch. I have already saved over 6 quid plus the cost of a link removal. There are plenty of youtube videos which will show you how to remove the back of a watch if you can't figure it out for yourself.

I bought this last time it was posted. I'm in for a good deal anytime and don't have a problem with low quality disposable tools but this was utter rubbish, my Christmas crackers had better tools in than this, hence it went straight back to Amazon. :{
#22
thought everyone used a stanley knife to get the back off a watch?
#23
Thanks, I needed this as was spending 5.00 each time to get my links taken out of my ever growing collection. Heat added.

Won't add to basket

'That blue thing'... Maybe if you knew what it was and how to use it it wouldn't break 'every time'?

you must own great quality watches

Ordered. I'm interested to see what arrives as some of the posts seem to suggest that the tools will disintegrate if I give them a withering look.

Used once?

I've had one of these kits for several years and I've used it plenty of times on various watches to remove links from the straps, replace flat batteries and replacing bent strap pins

Very hand and cheap little tool kit to have

i used this process to save me £75 which is what an authorised service agent charges to swap a battery on a TAG Heuer watch.... and no need to remind me I'm a mug bacause I'm telling you to buy the tool for opening the back of the watch (which is all you need BTW)

Do you loose watches before battery runs out? ;) + it could be good other fiddly stuff.
#36
Ive got 7 watches but they are all automatic so if they did stop it would be a professional job to fix

terrible quality I've got this set for my tag heuer carrera as pins are very hard to remove. the pin tip tools are too big so useless and the Plastic clamp bit broke straight away. don't waste your money. cold
