I seriously need this and even has added shoulder buttons, rechargeable (Upto 20 hours gaming per charge) and can be upgraded via firmware

Buttons can be mapped to whatever you wish.

rafted by the folks at 8Bitdo, the NES30 isn’t the first retro-inspired wireless controller the company has crafted, as last year a Famicom-inspired model was launched, but this new NES-esque version takes your game playing to the next level with an extra dosage of buttons. While it does look like one of Nintendo’s classic retro controllers, you’ll find it packing some modern niceties such as four face buttons and two shoulder buttons, making it more in line with a SNES controller than anything. You can also map touch-screen buttons to the controller, while you can also hook up more than one controller to your iOS device for multiplayer gaming too.

You’ll also find packed into its NES controller-sized body a smart CPU that can receive firmware upgrades, meaning you could find it working with even more systems than currently supported, while it even works as an impromptu Wiimote too, giving your New Super Mario Bros. romps a retro flavour to them. If you find yourself with a game playing system that lacks Bluetooth, you can also plug in the NES30 via USB, making it pretty versatile.

There’s also a smartphone and tablet stand case attached to the controller, which lets you plonk your game playing screen on in various angles, plus 8Bitdo reckons it’ll have a battery life of around 20 hours and can be recharged over microUSB.

Urgh, why make a NES style controller and add two extra buttons while changing the layout?
Just make a SNES one

Less than £20, no customs right?

£15+ import VAT and then a handling charge at £8 meaning a cost of £32 not £20. But the Chinese usually mark as gift anyway or put the value at about $2 (£1.20)

Anyone know if these work with an OUYA?

last time royal mail stuck a handling fee on something of mine it was £11, I recall a mate moaning about a 14 pound fee last year.

Does anybody know if this will work with my Nokia 520 Windows phone?

Precisely. Hopefully this product will see other releases at some point that come housed in a shell based not on such a terrible gamepad.

what are the advantages of getting one of these over say, a ps3 pad? or is it purely for the retro appeal?

Purely retro appeal i guess. As for the ergonomics comments, there are plenty of 'modern' styled controllers out there already such as the Steelseries Free, this is really for fans of retro gaming.

isnt £19.19 quite alot? there are other pads with more buttons that cost less??
#34
Its more about the price of this which is basically a cool little gadget. Normally around €40 in the UK shops that have imported them so this is a good price. To be honest, I bet 90% of those who have ordered (including me) dont actually need it and half of those will just leave it in the box..... ;-)

Personally I am still tempted to buy a Teenage Engineering OP-1 synth simply because its so cool but nearly £700!!
Thats the power of cool gadgets.

Good price, but the last time I ordered from DX was 3 months ago and I'm still waiting for delivery, they were so much quicker last year!
#37
£49.95 on eBay hmm, which will probably end up being cheaper than this after being molested by customs.

Brilliant, whilst iconic I can't see why you would want this over other designs.

Can only imagine this is marketed at people with nostalgia.
